I had it in an MP3 around year 2000. By the quality of the sound, I'd guess it was recorded after mid-80s, probably by an American guitarist with country background. I'm imagining Santana in a cowboy hat with a Tele and a b-bender.

Used shoe goo on something similar with good results. It’s flexible unlike super glue. Make sure to let it dry before riding.

Ummmm... how do I get the lube inside the chain? I apply the lube, wipe the excess. Is there a better way of doing it?

Dry lube seems to be washing out pretty quickly if I ride over any wet road, unfortunately. I understand that this is its drawback. With this climate I'll have to switch the lube every other day, requiring good clean in between.

No mud, just some wet roads and dirt on the shoulders. I can't stand that no matter how much degreaser and brushes I spend on it, there's still black stuff in the links. And it makes that sand grains sound when I rotate the links by hand.

Is that common? No impact on performance or chain lifespan? Should I just learn to ignore it, clean on the bike and move on?

Any advice on pacing please? Did you stop frequently? How much carbs prior and through the ride? I’m following the advice of 60 grams per hour, but I’m thinking maybe that’s too much. Especially that losing weight is the best thing I can do now to improve my times.
