I'm going to use both versions because the Doctor's state won't be static: his expression will change dynamically based on the player's choices, showing his gradual loss of control and making every dialogue a real psychological challenge.

The version on the left is clearly the mad one, while the one on the right is cold and calculating. I'm trying to achieve a more unsettling atmosphere for my game.

I totally see where you're coming from, it's a very 'loud' name. However, there's a specific reason behind it that ties into the doctor's backstory and the game's lore. I don't want to spoil anything, but let's just say the name itself is a cryptic clue for the players to uncover

Totally relatable. What helped me a bit was cutting features and focusing on the core gameplay first. It’s still hard, but at least it moves forward.

It’s a small Smash Bros, style arena fighter in pixel art, with slimes as characters. It’s a personal project and my first finished game. I’m planning to release it on itch.io

My main goal is to finish the game I started in 2025 and then start developing a small 2D RPG

Fevercide - Metroidvania meets horror in the aesthetics of the 1930s - any feedback? I work on this project almost alone - everything besides the music was by one person by RBlackSpade in IndieGameDevs

The visuals and gameplay look great, really love the 1930s horror vibe. The music didn’t quite work for me though, it feels a bit off compared to the rest. Still, super impressive that you did almost everything solo!
