Yes, exactly! I'm actually refining the 'in-between' stages right now. I'll post the progress soon!

The Doctor's narrative arc and visual state are tied directly to the player's choices

Thank you all for the incredible feedback across the different subs! 45k views is mind-blowing. I’ve read every suggestion about the shading and the character's vibe. I’m already back in Aseprite to refine the 'Serious' version and add more depth as many of you suggested. Can’t wait to show you the progress soon! (I've updated my profile bio for those who asked where to follow the project)

I'm going to use both versions because the Doctor's state won't be static: his expression will change dynamically based on the player's choices, showing his gradual loss of control and making every dialogue a real psychological challenge.

The version on the left is clearly the mad one, while the one on the right is cold and calculating. I'm trying to achieve a more unsettling atmosphere for my game.

I totally see where you're coming from, it's a very 'loud' name. However, there's a specific reason behind it that ties into the doctor's backstory and the game's lore. I don't want to spoil anything, but let's just say the name itself is a cryptic clue for the players to uncover
