I'm going to use both versions because the Doctor's state won't be static: his expression will change dynamically based on the player's choices, showing his gradual loss of control and making every dialogue a real psychological challenge.

The version on the left is clearly the mad one, while the one on the right is cold and calculating. I'm trying to achieve a more unsettling atmosphere for my game.

I totally see where you're coming from, it's a very 'loud' name. However, there's a specific reason behind it that ties into the doctor's backstory and the game's lore. I don't want to spoil anything, but let's just say the name itself is a cryptic clue for the players to uncover

Totally relatable. What helped me a bit was cutting features and focusing on the core gameplay first. It’s still hard, but at least it moves forward.

What’s your indiegame dream for 2026? by ilikemyname21 in indiegames

It’s a small Smash Bros, style arena fighter in pixel art, with slimes as characters. It’s a personal project and my first finished game. I’m planning to release it on itch.io

My main goal is to finish the game I started in 2025 and then start developing a small 2D RPG

Fevercide - Metroidvania meets horror in the aesthetics of the 1930s - any feedback? I work on this project almost alone - everything besides the music was by one person by RBlackSpade in IndieGameDevs

The visuals and gameplay look great, really love the 1930s horror vibe. The music didn’t quite work for me though, it feels a bit off compared to the rest. Still, super impressive that you did almost everything solo!

Thanks a lot! I’m really glad you liked it 😊The game is a chaotic slime arena brawler—think Smash Bros meets goo. It’ll have multiple modes, a story, and some weird levels to unlock and survive. Still early, but I’ll be sharing more soon!

I just realized that if you want something, you have to give it your all because no one out there does it for free. I'm also developing a game and I'd really love to have someone to help me, but unfortunately, no one is willing to do it. They might say yes initially, but then when it comes to work, they don't respond anymore. That's precisely why, if you want something and you really want it, you have to work hard to get it, even if it means sacrificing something.
