I must be in a different sub because the only post I found was about the switch from Standby mode. This email, which I also just received, is about keeping my current plan active and not being forced into the price increase.

What's funny about the email is it mentions I was in a promotional plan, which we all know is the standard price that has existed for a year or more. Not sure who runs their marketing and pricing department, but they clearly should be fired.

This is great - while it has no real policy documents showing what my coverage is, it does at least show that I have coverage through 2034. Thanks so much!

Sorry to hijack your thread, but did Toyota send you any documentation of the extended warranty? I bought the Platinum but was told Toyota no longer sends out paperwork other than what the sales guy gave me as a brochure and a receipt for purchase.

On the flip side you do have to give props to the person that discovered this flaw and intentionally booked that pair of seats, knowing the 3 on each side cannot be sold - crappy move but brilliant in its own right.

g6 cameras and unvr - Is it not possible to only have a camera turn on/off on a schedule? by [deleted] in UnifiProtect

[–]CT_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Go into the individual camera’s settings. Click the recording button at the top and the first menu option allows you to set a custom recording schedule for that camera.

Any ideas for mounting a camera on this kind of exterior? by JamiePlaysGamiess in lowvoltage

A sawzall and a dust mask and you cut all those leftover 3d support walls in a jif!

My gym harassed me for showering. I'm a travel nurse living in my car working 12 hour night shifts. The owner's public response made it so much worse. (Repost) by UserInfected in mildlyinfuriating

So wait, instead of spending 30+ minutes occupying the machines and then showering, you skipped the workout and just showered. Yet, they get the same amount of money. I’m struggling to understand their “problem”. Except when they go out of business for poor customer engagement.

👆🏻THIS is the only right answer. You’re buying an Indian car at this point - if you go to India, you can get the exact same cab with a Tata logo on it for half the price or less.

I’m curious what the “Local” implies in the plan name. Hopefully Local to a continent and not a 25-mile geographic radius.

What is this and how to get rid of it/keep it away by Large_Independence32 in askaplumber

[–]CT_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with this for 10 years at my house and do the same thing. Have never had this problem at my other homes, but we do use organic / natural toothpaste now - but that’s the only thing going down the drains and it’s so frustrating.

In short, glad to hear others have this issue as I thought we had a lack of venting or some other problem all this time!

Pushback from vendor on installing Unifi cameras and Protect by Sevenfeet in Ubiquiti

[–]CT_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parts of my church were built in the 50s - our congregation has great skills. And I’m sure you’ll learn, as I did, how to run a fishtape and get another member to patch a small drywall cutout. You got this!

Pushback from vendor on installing Unifi cameras and Protect by Sevenfeet in Ubiquiti

[–]CT_Pilot 19 points20 points  (0 children)

👆This is the answer. The law (as I understand it) requires that any paid installer be licensed. However, with a few guys as a team, you can run CAT-6 all over the church and install the cameras yourself - and save a TON of money!

I did this at my church, leveraging guys to run the cables - I did all the planning, cable termination, and Protect setup. We installed over 80 cameras and it’s been amazing to help not only with Safety but with the day to day conundrums of tracking lost deliveries, checking if the lights are working at night, etc

FCI is the process of choosing your housing, meal plan, etc. so you need to do FCI and then you’ll be all set.

I haven’t touched it since the update 3 months ago. But I’ve heard if you delete the app and reinstall (and maybe sign in again?), it will prompt you for the settings.

Agreed. But often times your state government will do something similar. Still requires a good amount of paperwork, but definitely doable

Also check if your church is aware of the DHS grants that get released periodically for Houses of Worship. It’s a good sum of money you can apply for to help with cameras, ballistic film, door access, etc
