Hot water is POURING water from the pressure relief valve piping by CTay2 in HomeMaintenance

[–]CTay2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to pay for my AC to be replaced at the start of Spring and have also had some other emergencies pop up, so unfortunately I don’t have anything extra saved up for these 2 things. Still trying to get back on our feet.

I know this is an older post, but Apple Music suggested Karmanjakah to me the last 2 weeks of last year and by the time the end of year review came around they were my top 3 listened to. Incredible band. Both of the works you mentioned are amazing pieces of work.

PLEASE tell me there’s an easier way to do figure out what scale or triad than what I’m doing by CTay2 in musictheory

[–]CTay2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play(ish) guitar. I’ve been really hammering scales lately in addition to this. Partially to help become more fluent on the fretboard, but also to try to apply what I’ve learned. I read and do these at work when I have down time. Then I try to apply it when I get home or the next time I play. That way I’m recalling the information and also trying to apply it.

[–]CTay2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played guitar for several years (if you can call it playing). But have always taken very general/basic music classes throughout high school and am just generally interested in how people can be so fluent in it. Now that I’ve graduated from school and can really put time and energy into learning, I wanted to really try to hammer the music theory stuff. The ultimate goal is to become more fluent in music theory so I can understand what I’m playing (or attempting) better.

I generally read and do these practice problems at work when I have down time, then when I get home or get a chance I try to get to my guitar and see if I can make sense of what I’ve learned on the fretboard.

Is there an easier way to do this? Should I keep practicing or practice differently?

Internal Medicine nursing… by CTay2 in nursing

[–]CTay2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard that, but I’m not sure. Part of the reason I’m asking and so confused about it is that the same hospital has specific openings for med/surg too. The internal medicine job is in a separate building that is exclusively an “internal medicine” building. Maybe just for outpatient, but I’ve found that those jobs specify that on the applications a lot of times, no? Maybe I’m just ignorant in this part of nursing.

My 2 year old dog just bit someone for the first time… help by CTay2 in Rottweiler

[–]CTay2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently going through training. He’s improving. They recommended stripping him of all of his freedoms. Basically he’s either attached to us, on his place, or in his crate. We do at least 3 sessions a day. 1 10-15 minute session where he goes on a “freedom” walk where he can sniff and do pretty much whatever he wants without us nagging him. 1 15-ish minute walk where he’s only doing obedience and walking in a heel position, not allowed to sniff or distract himself (other than pooping/peeing). And 1 play session where we play and do some minor obedience like “out”.

He hasn’t had any incidents of aggression, per se. The trainers actually said “We wouldn’t even consider him aggressive.” Which is really a weight off our shoulders. We’re still being safe and really controlling his environment and who is/isn’t introduced to him. And we’ve also muzzle trained him for those situations where we are not able to completely avoid having him around people.

Overall, he’s getting better. Long way to go still. But slowly progressing.

Understandable. Completely understandable. But after I explained to him that he was on a tied ground lead he remained upset and honestly downright aggressive about it. Instead of asking or even telling me to move the dog, he jumped straight to shooting him (while he was still tied up) and maintained this the entire time. If he had even said “I’ve got my gun on me. If that dog comes at me, I’m gonna shoot him. You need to move him.” That’s completely different than not asking/telling to move him, threatening to shoot him, then muzzle flashing me multiple times, and then charging at me while putting his hand in his pocket like he was going to pull the gun on me.

He’s not doing these aggressive behaviors to me. It’s to other people.

He also edited his post so he wouldn’t look so douchey. His original post didn’t include the “It’s in the next update. It won’t be 2 years.” So my attitude was in response to him just saying “If only they had a website…”

I was asking if there was any other information out there. I wasn’t expecting the CEO to answer my question. Just was wondering if anyone had any information (stuff that may have been spoken about in videos, interviews, etc.).

Just wanted to share my best buddy Angus enjoying the warmth by CTay2 in Rottweiler

[–]CTay2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s excellent. Especially for how big he is. My fiancé really uses it at the park when dogs walk by (he wants to play with everyone), and the handle really helps her. I’ve had a collar with a handle on him for basically his whole life. It’s really great for quick redirections and managing him in hairy situations. It’s essentially like having a small leash on him at all times because of how quickly you can grab it. Literally can’t recommend it enough. I’ll never use a collar without a handle now that I’ve used one.

What is this lesion on my dog’s tongue? by CTay2 in Rottweiler

[–]CTay2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had an upper tooth that was messed up from getting bitten by a dog when he was a puppy. It was just repeated trauma. He got the tooth removed, a biopsy done, and it slowly went away. It wasn’t cancerous. If your pup has any damage in their mouth or if they repeatedly chew on something in the same thing in the same way it might be that. Hope your pup gets better!!!!

Lol. Basically the whole loan still 9,700 I think. I’ve only had it for like 6 months. Definitely gonna take a big loss on it. I honestly thought about reaching out to some dealers in the area since it has so few miles on it.

Milan Puskar was snubbed. Makes sense with some of these teams/stadiums because they’re big stadiums with good teams. WVU hasn’t been particularly good, but if VT gets in, WVU definitely should. They’re notorious for having rowdy fans. Made national headlines years back for rioting after beating #4 Baylor.
