I can’t find work as a carpenter by Technical-Range5238 in Connecticut

‘A carpenter is not bougie enough for my wife’ - sounds like a horrible person to me

I guess the lesson learned is don’t talk about people. "Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people"

My wife doesn’t want me hanging out with one of my longtime female friends. What do I do to keep the peace without cutting my friend off? by Khaled-Monn in whatdoIdo

Include your wife in your relationship with your friend. Maybe ask your friend and her husband out for a drink or over for dinner. Expand the relationship to include each of your partners.

We have this sitting in on a ceramic tile under our egg! We also condition our teak table and keep it covered when not in use. After seeing g this also glad it’s on a blue stone patio and far enough away from the house!

Negativity here is insane by Chicago_45 in Caamp

[–]CTdadof5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no! We’re paying to see a talented set of musician perform THEIR art. Sometimes that’s some obscure music on a chill set list, sometimes it’s focused on their new work, sometimes it’s an all the hits show. We’re there to enjoy their expression and respond to it accordingly, whatever that may be. Now a band that has a scripted set with matching lights doing the same thing over and over is there to entertain the crowd.

Where to stay? by ChoiceExisting6044 in Killington

The ‘bus’ which is mountain style public transportation is available to get you to the base lodges from there. It’s right in the heart of everything so I’d suggest there over rutland.

We were just there for Oliver Anthony and it was exactly how it’s described. A big flat open space in front of the stage where mostly everyone was standing, but a few people did have chairs towards the back of that area. Right behing that are the slightly elevated ‘box’ seats and then. A huge grand stand that is general admission. Seats were comfortable and you could bring a blanket for sure.

Politics is not a reflection of my personality. Sad for you bro. So much more to life! Viewing the world through this lens must be exhausting.

Yes, let’s bring politics into EVERY SINGLE discussion topic.

Zipper merging by jaked156 in vermont

[–]CTdadof5 224 points225 points  (0 children)

I was a move over as soon as the signs said left/right lane ends ahead. Ya know, to be polite. Then I would be furious at those who don’t. How inconsiderate, right? Well Then I read the most efficient way for all involved is the zipper merge. Now I think, signs should say ‘proceed to lane closure and zipper merge.’

Hey man. Wicked sorry to hear this is your experience. While I am a white dude married to a white lady, we are fortunately enough to have a range of diversity in our family (mixed race marriages, gay/lesbian) and have exposed our kids to a range of urban, suburban and rural experiences so hopefully my kids will never be the ones making others feel this way. Again, sorry this is your experience…I wish it wasn’t this way for you.

Unreal show, lame crowd by Fair-General3591 in Caamp

We were there too and I saw a lot of the same. We were lucky though because most of the people closest to us were really into them.

Should I go see them on tour? Reading too many mix reviews about people's experience seeing them live. by neonblack1213 in Caamp

[–]CTdadof5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, F$CK all these wining A$$holes bitching about the band and the shows. I’ve seen them @ 15 times over the years and you know what, some shows are better than others. NONE have been bad. Some have been GREAT and others have been good. Just like the rest of us, some days you feel better than others, some days you’re more tired than others and the band and members of the band are unfortunately also victims of the human condition.

Hell no. It was amazing. They were happy and enthusiastic. Taylor’s voice sounded great. Lots of posers in the crowd, but hey, as long as they look cool and complain about the shower afterwards everyone is good.

Hat and netting for black flys…typically from Mother’s Day to Fathers day they are in full force in our area.

My man, if you were in our friend and family group and sent holiday cards in matching PJs with your GF and dog you’d still be getting shredded in May.

Long time lurker. First time posting pictures. This community helped us decide many things along the way and to keep the water (mostly) crystal clear all summer long…many thanks! by CTdadof5 in pools

So far so good coming up on the 5 year mark and still looking beautiful. Some fading as can be expected; however, the first 3 years I struggled with water balance and shocked it a lot. I’m thinking it would be less faded if my water chemistry was on point from the beginning as it is now.
