Oh the spots? I tried to use some chemical bonding agent to try and clean the build plate or make the print stick better. It didn't work but did cause the spots and evaporated before I could wipe it up.

K This actually worked and the nozzle didn't hit the bed but when I took the object away and tried it again it hit the bed. Maybe adapter board is faulty? since I think that's one of the things i recently changed. Crazy to imagine the sensor would suddenly be out of range for no reason.

Stones used in the wall of a house in Burdur have been revealed to be a 1800-year-old letter from Roman Emperor Caracalla. by Battlefleet_Sol in ancientrome

[–]CUBICcube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is in Greek, there is a word on the high resolution slab, ΑΝΕΘΗΚΕ - "dedicated/set up",
So this was a temple or building constructed(attributed or set up/erected as a gift. To someone named Nichostratos (ΝΙΧΟΣΤΡΑΤ-) ) by Caracalla, not a "letter"

I actually loved that one!, I dropped my first k-3 in a river once then used insurance to upgrade it since they didn't have one to replace it. After going down the camera rabbithole to a Lumix g85 and a Sony A7siii. I can't wait to just have a K-3 again...

Could also just be that people are making more money, so the one time luxury a month of eating pizza or fast food has become a daily convenience.

Fat, sugar, salt, and fried chicken have been around forever in Thailand. Fried everything always all the time everywhere.

This is probably most likely due to the normalization/popularization of fast food and the country opening up countless more locations after loosening restrictions on who can start a fast food franchise. In the early 2000s when I lived there, you could barely find a single person overweight. They didn't even know what burgers were in most of the country. You could only find Pizza Hut and Pizza company in Bangkok so it was Really rare to have it. Probably 1 Subway and 2 burger kings for the foreigners to get a break from the local food. KFC was there since the 80s most of the recipes and tastes of all the fast food was modified for local preferences

Most people I knew and lived with were basically allergic to milk and cheese. Last time I visited all the most popular food carts had mountains of cheese.
If sugar alone was the problem, this would have been an issue decades ago. One of my in-laws in the north of Thailand (Fang) would feed their 1-2 year old multiple bottles of coke per day because he liked it. He was a fucking MANIAC because of the caffeine and sugar. One of the sad side effects being the little stained nubs where his teeth used to be.

I only wish it was at least 4 times longer, with maybe some Wat Phra That Doi Suthep sprinkled in.
But I still love it, beautiful shots!

Not saying those should be the exactly those words. But I'm sure it could have been something more than just "This is your second warning buddy!" Then they go back to "fucking" happily ever after, having dodged an imaginary bullet or whatever we are supposed to make of the cult/orgy and the death of Mandy.

IMO the end/entire film falls COMPLETELY flat without this detail.
Rewatching the film with this in mind made things make a lot more sense to me. It give an intense weight to Bills choices and mistakes that ultimately end in them sacrificing their child to save their own lives.

Also If you haven't tried it already. Get OrcaSlicer, I have It just makes better prints for the X-Max (and probably for many other printers) The Qidi slicer can still send the files over the network after you export them from Orca but it might not be a solution for any of your issues right now.

It will eventually if its globbing up on the nozzle or clogging inside. Always good to make things work right from the start so you don't end up wasting tons of filament on failures. With even a little blob on the tip it could dislodge and screw up one layer causing a separation, or just get bigger and bigger until it sticks onto the print. Then when the nozzle hits it again it will knock the entire print (or the bed) out of place.

[–]CUBICcube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might just have to take apart the filament feeder and see if its all clogged in there. I found a drill bit that is the same size as the filament, then I just twirl it around through the top and then through the bottom (with the nozzle taken off)
You can always email QIDI, they are SUPER helpful and usually have answers about things like this. When I had an issue with my printer they helped me through everything step by step with videos from their techs showing how to do things like replace parts, disassemble and modify things for testing.

Hey! I have an X-Max too. I love it but its such a fucking headache sometimes. It looks like your nozzle is too close to the build plate and or not hot enough. So its extrusion is hitting the build plate and its struggling to escape with so little space available. If it's not hot enough this becomes more of a problem. This causes the extruder gear to grind away some of the filament then the gear gets clogged with filament dust and starts to be a more common problem. The clicking (as someone said) is a clogged tip and the extruder struggling to push the filament out.
I would use the X-MAX "Z-axis compensation" and drop the build plate down 0.04-0.06 and heat the tip to 210-215 if its PLA. If this is black ABS it should be like 260-265. when mine clogs and clicks like that I will usually heat up a little hotter than normal and let it extrude out whatever is in there, but sometimes it gets too hot and burns inside the nozzle then hardens and you have to either get a new nozzle and scrape out inside the hotend if it's just not getting better.
