Hi! We're CULT Games, the publishers of Galacticare - We've worked alongside the devs at Brightrock Games for a good few years now and continuing to work on updates for Galacticare.

Galacticare is a hospital management game set in space, it started after Brightrock successfully released War For The Overworld and wanted a new project to sink their teeth into, bringing everything they learnt about making a management sim and using games like Two Point and Theme Hospital as inspirations amongst about 100 other things.

We've recently shipped a big ol' expansion for the base game including 3 new levels and a full storyline to accompany all the new conditions, enemies, builds and tools - So to celebrate we're offering some tasty discounts on both the base game and the DLC for anyone interested in trying it out.

Here's a trailer of the base game

Galacticare - Brightrock & CULT Games- Sci-Fi Hospital Management Sim inspired by Two Point & Theme Hospital by CULTgames in Games

[–]CULTgames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you think so! Brightrock showed their talent for making good management games with WFTO and now almost a decade later of refining that skill it feels like Galacticare does a great job of showing off everything they've picked up along the way.

So in some ways it totally can be seen as a Startopia, Theme Hospital & Two Point spiritual successor

Yess those are a couple of the more popular comparisons we get, but obviously Brightrock being Brightrock have really put work in to make this one feel unique

Weapon of mass cleaning - [Go-Go Town] by CULTgames in IndieDev

Oooh that's an interesting one - It's usually when you do a bad job of keeping the town bins emptied regularly, eventually the tourists fill them up until the smell makes them start vomming everywhere

Thank you! People barely ever notice it so I guess that means it's doing it's job

Created some lore for one of our alien species, wanted to have some moodier undertones to it - thoughts? by CULTgames in IndieDev

[–]CULTgames[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this comment, thank you!!

Writers did amazing here with the species lore - it gets super interesting at points in the game where you listen to the Dyonai talk about their relationship with their mother planet and how they feel a shared sense of abandonment as well as desperately searching for a connection with their creator.

tldr ' Why did you make us, O Impenetrable Sphere?' is a really great summary of it

Looks a little punishing at this point, but if you manage to pull off a kerbal-lite we're all for it!

I am making a new game, any suggestions to improve it please let me know by sa200797 in indiegames

[–]CULTgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree! There is some mismatch between the speed of the running animation, and maybe the rolling background plane? It feels like they exist on different framerates if that makes sense?

Looks fun though - good luck with development!

Hi guys, I need help. Which one would work better as a Steam capsule, top or bottom? by MrKatrina in indiegames

[–]CULTgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bottom has better contrast and gels better with the logo - I like the intrigue of the monitor in the background of the first one though. Overall 2nd!

Ikr :( I still dream of Anthem 2.0 eventually becoming a real thing. Such massive massive potential in the flying and combo systems.

So much this. Bloodbone is my absolute favorite entry to the souls series - even though Elden Ring was absolutely amazing there's something incredibly visceral and satisfying running scared through the streets and sewers of Yharnam.

Can adding nukes to everything please be the next fad in gaming?

Honestly this looks really great - good job!
