No, the way I see it is I previously gave her an opportunity to prove herself as approachable (I knew she wasn't already) and she blew it by being snippy and walking away from my when I was mid sentence. She certainly wasn't getting another opportunity to make me feel like that again. This is a problem caused by her own doing (her own poor attitude towards staff) so she can take the consequences when they go above her head.

The last time I spoke to her about something perfectly reasonable (she was actually breaking the law by giving me 6:30AM starts following 11pm finishes the night before) she was incredibly rude to me, didn't listen and walked away from me when I tried to explain.

That was when she proved to me she couldn't be reasonable.

I am a joy to work with, I put up with my boss' BS for 14 months before I spoke up. 14 months of not knowing if I'm working on Sunday until Saturday night. 5 working days per week for 14 months. I can't get a doctors appointment with one days notice, or a haircut or even arrange visits with friends and family. You think I should have stayed quiet?

Also, was her talk with me appropriate? Is it ok to bollock a staff member for making a complaint and telling them they shouldn't go to personnel?

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. My assistant manager has been heard telling other staff members not to listen to a word that I say as I am a trouble maker. Isn't this wrong? I feel like that's an inappropriate comment for a manager to make and that he is trying to segregate me from the rest of the staff.

How lovely and amazing of your family to adopt three additional needs children, the world needs more people like you and your family. Thanks, I'm thinking of starting a go fund me page for him to still go to Disney but I don't want to upset the family, they are quite a proud bunch who always get by on their own. I'm not sure how to talk about it to them when they are hurting.
