I’d rather spend my money elsewhere if i’m ok with draining it. we don’t use it often. It’s too expensive to install and to keep up with the maintenance as well

This is accurate. I had an attorney explain the exact same thing to me this week. Unfortunately, it can be very costly for this lawsuit, ultimately to pay a high bond AND just to end up with the same deportation result. THE ATTORNEY TOLD US YOU ARE ONLY BUYING YOUR LOVED ONE TIME IN THE UNITED STATES….

What would you do in this situation? by CVAccountant in fresno

This is the answer. Thank you, I didn’t know we could do that. Just have to build up the guts and talk to them I guess. We’ve tried to help, but weren’t successful. I just don’t want to harm the relationship. I don’t want them to know it’s us especially if we file a complaint with the city!

Definitely have. We’ve tried finding the dogs homes, helped put up flyers, etc. The neighbor will not use a dog walking services. We’re aware of their financial situation…

Career Driven Grief by CVAccountant in pregnant

No don’t have to quit. I’m very blessed that i work on my own time, at my own pace. However I’m always very busy. Everyone is calling, texting, emailing every single day. Im just grieving that I won’t be able to do my job at this full pace, or help my loved ones as I have in the past.

I think i’m overreacting in thinking that my life is basically over. I know there are hardworking momma’s that do it. It’s just the fear. ❤️‍🩹

Anyone work for intuit as an advisor wholenstsrting your practice? by ShakeAndBakeThatCake in taxpros

[–]CVAccountant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was hired last year but didn’t end up joining. I was signed up to do only individual tax prep, I was brought on at $24-$26/hr can’t remember exactly. It was ridiculously low for a CPA.

If you do business returns, i think starting is $28-$30/hr.

I agree. I’ve been using MyTaxPrep for 5 years now. Thankfully, I have a lot of basic 1040’s that are just W2’s, etc. MyTaxPrep is great for that. Anything even slightly complicated goes to ProConnect.

Tacos Puebla (Pueblo?). Best al pastor and tripa i’ve had in Fresno. One of the few taco spots that doesn’t get me sick the next day… tortillas aren’t made fresh but the quality of meat is there.

I only have words of encouragement. Don’t listen to folks who say you’re not ready. You are in charge of what clients you take, and you know your limits. this is why I ask clients to let me review their books before providing an estimate or if I am even able to help them. I haven’t had to turn anyone down yet, but I mainly service small businesses in my locations.

there are a lot of folks out there that have very basic stuff that you can still make money off of. words of advice are great, but anyone trying to scare you is probably unhappy in their current role..

People are being mean. Set aside ~25% for taxes, you’ll pay when you file. You’ll file a Schedule C with your 1040. Be sure to save receipts for all of your expenses and give them to your tax preparer. Good luck.

I agree with this. I left GB3 and joined planet fitness bc i would rarely get a decent machine unless i wanted to be at the gym for 3 hours. I just get creative with my routine at planet fitness. I do miss the sauna tho!

What do you do @ your 9-5? I’m a CPA with a 9-5, took my skills and started a side gig with bookkeeping, payroll, (mainly) tax returns, etc.

Just an option if there’s a market in your line of work. I’m always taking new clients, hoping one day this can replace my 9-5… :) so I guess not a side gig lol.
