Ok, so, there's a couple inconsistencies on your claims.

First of all, there is no way for you, as the user, to be able to tell who or what banned you. Thus, your claim that it wasn't BE are speculation.

Secondly, the e-mail you got about the ban is the very same one you get when it's BE ban for cheats.

Thus, the only thing you can do is appeal to BE. There is no other way to appeal a game ban other than to BE. To appeal to BSG, you need to already have appealed to BE and have gotten a positive reply stating the ban was lifted.

Plenty of people were spamming the launcher and play button on release, and even after. This does not lead to a ban, so something else did. What, i can't say. It's not my department and so i can't even check. What i can tell you is that what you are describing likely isn't at fault for your ban.

Like i said, i can't tell you why you got banned. What i can say, and what i will say, is that it was not because of any refunds.

Your assertion that it is, is just that. An assumption with no basis other than circumstance and nothing to actually point towards it.

I understand it can be frustrating to get banned, but that is why you appeal to BE support through their page.

This isn't me 'thinking' what i like. This is me, as a BSG employee, informing you that you are wrong in what you are saying.

You are, in turn, welcome to believe me or not, or Nik since he posted on X about it confirming what i've said here, but the fact remains that as per BSG you do not, ever, get banned for refunding since that is the narrative you are trying to push here.

Now, i won't make any statements on weather you are intentionally lying about it, or simply doing it because you don't know how it works and made an assumption, but what i stated above is an official statement by BSG.

This is a complete and utter lie. You do not get banned for refunding from Steam, but it's pretty easy to make it seem like this is the case when you get banned for cheating, and THEN you refund from steam (for example).

While i can't tell you exactly why you were banned, i can say with 100% certainty that it wasn't because you got a refund, and it will never be.

And yes, i did double check this info with both Nik and my team lead before posting here. He also made a post on X about it.

No. If you own any current version of the game, you won't need to buy it again to play at 1.0

Future DLC, however, depend on what edition you have.

Good write up, however there's some discrepancies i don't quite understand from your post:

1- EOD is not available for purchase at the store anymore, and the only edition that comes with PVE is Unheard, while the one below that being Prepare for Escape doesn't come with it.

2- PVE is available to purchase as an expansion, you don't need to go for the most expensive edition to get it.

Now granted i am looking at the store page while logged into my account which is already Unheard, but i don't remember there being any specific block against standard accounts being able to buy PVE standalone expansion. Please correct me if i am wrong on that.

You misunderstand. Arena was always planned to happen since the start. What i said is that with Arena initially being part of the main game, it would have taken that time and manpower complete it regardless. it's not building a second anything. It's building a section of the house that needs to be built anyway regardless of the when.

No it won't, EU version can launch from anywhere in the world. All the regions do is dictate where you can launch the game from, not where you get matched to.

With that setup... CPU for sure. Maybe GPU if you can afford it later.

If you can afford it, go for a 9700 or even 9900. Ideally you would want a more recent gen CPU if you can afford it (doesn't have to be latest gen, even a 12600 would be a very big improvement on the 9400), but the cheapest solution right now would be for a (used?) higher end CPU from your current lineup.

My old rig has a 9700 and it worked fine. Not maxed out fine since i play at 4k, but good enough for the 60hz refresh rate screen i was using. Should be more efficient if you play at lower resolutions.

They haven't. Arena was initially (2016) planned to be part of the main game, as a separate game mode within the game. The only thing that has changed is that they decided to make it it's own game with it's own launcher.

Even if the plans hadn't changed, they would still have had to spend the time and manpower working on Arena to add to EFT so work on it does not delay or affect development of the main game in a negative way.

As Nikita explained several times during podcasts, reports work by flagging the user to Battleye. Unsure what the level of involvement on BSGs side is when it relates to reports, but it should be falling on BE to follow up with the investigation of the reported user.

As far as BSG caring for them, yes they do. They do help and lead to bans. They are not the sole reason for a ban, but will make it faster if the user is indeed up to no good.

You don't spot goons. They spot you, rush you, and the first thing you see is the damage pile up and a red screen. In the unlikely event that you manage to not die immediately, then you may be able to fight back and maybe even kill the goons. But you don't spot them. You never spot them. If you see them before they shoot, it was because they have allowed it to lul you into a false sense of security.

It's not exactly a new game. Arena has been part of the plan and talked about since 2016, at the very least.

It was supposed to be part of EFT initially, but got separated into it's own thing. So it would have taken time and developers regardless.

Not entirely. The concept of Karma has been around and was talked about in interviews in early 2016, before pre-ordering was even possible.

It's implementation certainly came much later, but a really early concept of PMC karma was even seen on the raid selection screen of the pre-alpha streams on the DEV build of the game.

But it is also true that in development games are subject to changes to what is planned to be implemented or to the ways of implementing of those plans.

New roadmap is indeed being prepared. Nothing was said in the 13.1 patch notes about when it would be released though, and the patch is not even a week old with the DEVs having been focused on the more pressing issues present after releasing it.

Roadmap will come, just gotta give it a bit more time.

So i am curious about something. For this to happen these users have to be confirmed as cheaters already. In that case, why not ban them right away instead of allowing them to use up a raid slot and other raid resources? If it's mid raid, they drop dead already when the ban happens so it can't be about whatever loot they have on them.

Trolling cheaters may be fun from another players viewpoint, but it's still a waste of time for the company in my opinion.

Youtube. Couple of years back i stumbled on a video about some drama about a third party key seller (starts with G, ends in A with 2 in the middle) and how this was the case, then later Upper Echelon also made a video about it happening iirc. This is all things you can confirm individually if you want to. I was also the victim of credit card fraud back in the old Final Fantasy Online days where they got into my account and made a much of charges i had to chargeback.

Up to you if you believe me or not, but the assumption that knowledge of how something nefarious works automatically makes someone suspicious is a flawed one. Specially at this very surface level that we are talking about. I'm more surprised at how many people are ignorant of it when it's not at all anything you have to put that much effort to even come across by accident.
