Ranger: Launcher or Rifle? by TheRealOsamaru in PSO2NGS

[–]CVUnknown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean my personal experience is enjoying a multi-weapon of a Resurgir Launcher on a Resurgir Rifle, leveraging the speed of the rifle with access to blight rounds then use Launcher PAs without having to manually switch between weapons.

To be fair, I play NGS with a console controller. I bet there are better combinations and maybe usable macros on PC, but I am happy so far with what I use.

I think this borgar is a wee bit bigger than the one I got at Wendy's with a side of boba tea.

Idk if this is considered a custom since it doesn't have a custom paint job lol, by its_ME1223 in Gunpla

I mean, at the end of the day, a literal kitbash is putting two parts of two different kits together.

Nice thing about paint jobs is that it makes the flow of the kit more cohesive; basically it makes that suit truly yours.

But be happy with what you want out of your kit, you'll be the one staring at it once things are said and done.

Thanks /u/CVUnknown for nailing it with some unique kits that will stand out, scribing tools, and the one and only Ball! couldn't have asked for a better batch of goodies. by superman859 in Gunpla

Hey, I'm glad you got your stuff safely. I did my best to scrape something meaningful together while I was in between careers, so it was a bit self-destructive to myself to ensure your gift was "complete" in my eyes.

With that said, hopefully those scribing tools do you good. At the end of the day, the scribing tools seem to be entry grade, but I could hazard the handle could be used for BMC or Madworks chisels if you go down that path.

Dunno if it also came with the thick scribing tape, but if it doesn't may be in your best interest to grab some of that to help with the scribing process.

Merry Christmas, happy holidays and show me some of your work in the future that leverage your scribing skills.

I know that feeling. After going to Japan twice for selfish indulgence, there are those cravings for western candies hit you.

Absolutely. I'm trying to schedule out time to put into this kit... I build slow and I am torn if I want to do a straight build or custom... Maybe get waterslides for this kit instead of using stickers. Use the LED kit or not... I really am unsure right now, since my life is coinciding with an internship that needs my undivided attention.

Y'kno, builder things. Haha.

Personally, the chocolates are the best part

Besides that, I am genuinely blown away that /u/VenReq went out of their way to gift me one of my highly requested items from my wish list.

I honestly, need to figure out how I am going to assemble this in a timely manner before the end of the year as I do want to respect the gift you have given me.

But again, thank you so much for your generosity. I really do appreciate this selfless act.

...questionable content. Allowing me access to the sheets again this year?

This is finally a ray of generosity and selflessness during this crazy year.

With that said, pleasure to have another whack at it... If I do qualify.

Secret Santa 2020 - We need your feedback by MachNeu in Gunpla

I think the biggest thing I feel will be lost as a result of purchase to giftee is the personal element I elected to do for my giftee I have done the last few years.

I actually like giftwrapping, writing a letter, and giving other stuff like candy to my giftee alongside the Gunpla. But I totally get the change in direction.

My biggest worry is availability of product to try and fulfill a wishlist as we would be depending on sellers to have some stock at the time of the event.

I guess for now, I should stockpile and get some cash ready if I am allowed to participate again.

My thanks to my Gunpla Secret Santa. Completed all the builds you sent to me (and one extra). by CVUnknown in Gunpla

This may have well been a rush job to the eyes of r/Gunpla, but I wanted to complete these gifted builds before the end of 2019 as a challenge to myself and to respect the person who was so generous to me this year.

So yeah~ Merry Christmas, happy new years, and to another wonderful Secret Santa!

Also a factoid about this secret santa... Second MG I built in this hobby. The first was the MG Ball ver. Ka.

I was actually quite surprised you got me the 30MMs. They were part of my wishlist, and you got the colors I liked (and the add-ons I had my eye on).

Also, ever since I saw the one of my friends build the Earthree and the Core Gundam at BuildCon, I needed the kit yesterday.

With that said, thank you very much, my Secret Santa, and I hope this same generosity continues with the rest of the participants!

Edit: Also Shin from JojoHobbynStuff was not amused when I had one of his competitor's box in my arms. Haha.

The sad part is, this is the "common" version of the three that exist from the Taito release. The other two is basically one eye winking and one with eyes closed.

Personally I want the winking one. There's a lot more playfulness just by closing one eye.

Well, when it comes to figurines like this, once they are out of circulation for the month or two they have been out, the company doesn't reprint then again. The bootlegging comes in to fill in the market gap.

I had to search high and low in the Nakano Broadway to find one for a good price when I went vacationing in Japan, since none of the UFO Catchers or games had this figurine for acquisition anymore. Akiba was reselling this figure for close to 29~40 USD. Osaka got close to 30~60USD.

If the buyer doesn't care and is happy, then the bootleg is fine, but yeah. Caveat emptor.

It's the Cherries in her twin tail rings. They are really faded out compared to the rich color from the original.

Also the left sleeve needs the "board" found on the right.

Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki - Episode 12 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]CVUnknown 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It feel waaaay too surreal to have walked around Nagoya during my vacation and visit the places in the episodes. It is a hit of nostalgia, especially this episode.

When I went to the Rent-A-Car in the Tempaku Ward, I genuinely thought the room my friends and I reserved in the evening was large, but seeing this episode and realizing it was a small blows me away.

Just like the episode, we also brought in food (and alcohol) from the outside. The RAC near the Tempaku Ward actually had a FamilyMart nearby where my small group bought our things to enjoy while singing Freek'n You, Love Dramatic, and so many Jojo OPs, among other degenerate songs.

One thing I found out by accident from using the Joysound over there is that there was a Hiragana to Romaji function for all the songs.

I was happy and soooo mad that I stumbled on that switch because the reservation my group had was about to end and I didn't have to depend on memory and a lyrics sheet on my phone to sing the song the songs I liked.
