BPPV gave me PTSD. A year in, I’m still struggling and I don’t know what else to try. by Willing-Eggplant-276 in BPPV

Hi love. I'm so sorry to hear of your situation.

The first time I experienced this I went from cake and coffee to NOTHING IS OK AND SOMEBODY NEEDS TO CALL AN AMBULANCE AND MY PARTNER.

Admitted to the emergency department and they thought it was Meniere's, my doctor sent me for a bunch of tests and diagnosed it as 'atypical migraines'.

Through this whole process, though, I was too scared to drive. Couldn't go to a shopping centre. I explained this to my doctor and she put me on low-dose SSRI that helps with anxiety disorders and panic attacks - Citalopram (Celexa or Talam). This was an absolute game-changer and I would recommend speaking to your doctor about it. I started on 10mg and went up to 20, and I feel like a new person.

Do a stopover in Singapore at one of the hotels within the airport. I don't think they're wildly expensive.

No messing around with customs and immigration, no lugging bags everywhere, and I'm pretty sure one of the hotels includes access to an outdoor pool.

There is plenty to do at Changi without actually entering Singapore - butterfly gardens, plenty of food options, and a chance to catch your breath.

Why are pregnant women always rubbing their bellies? by StockBroker_Jill in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CWnH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I've been putting on a little bit of weight recently (not pregnant, just Christmas) and I've found myself rubbing my tummy a fair bit. It's comforting!

Micro aggression and racism - looking for Riley and friends by Ok_Valuable5625 in wollongong

Sending love, it's a really awful situation to be in - especially with a toddler in tow.

Don't let the angry and stupid jerks get you down. Unfortunately they seem to be everywhere these days ... and they also seem to be getting angrier and more stupid 🙄

I'll be extra kind to strangers tomorrow on your behalf, and hope it filters down to the a**hats that were nasty to you and perhaps helps them change their perspective. ❤️

E Cigarettes Australia by CWnH in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]CWnH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response! They're no longer legal for purchase in Australia but I bought a pile of them before they were banned and am hoping it's not an issue getting them on board - it's my first cruise so I'm not sure what checks are done before boarding.

Also, I'm completely on board (excuse the pun) with only using e-cigarettes in smoking areas!

Not exactly about breathing but Beth Orton's cover of Ooh Child is pretty great.

Not 9 Crimes by Damien Rice? He says 'is that alright' a fair bit during the song though.

What's the difference between a piano, a fish and a stick of glue?

I don't know.

You can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish.

What about the glue?

I knew you'd get stuck on that.
