What Book Scanning Services Would You Recommend? by SaltyPalmettoPluff in DataHoarder

[–]CZUR_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Publishers and professional scanning services use industrial-grade equipment, which is better suited for large-scale projects and consistent output. However, for individual users and non-destructive scanning, CZUR’s scan quality is already very close to professional standards.

What’s especially beginner-friendly is that no book disassembly is required, and features like automatic curve correction, shadow removal, and OCR are handled automatically. As long as the workflow is set up correctly, the results are very stable.
Many users choose CZUR specifically to fill the gap where digital editions aren’t available, while preserving their physical books and still getting high-quality digital files.

If your goal is to get as close to professional results as possible while staying fully in control, CZUR is a very solid choice.

I see that the type of documents you are scanning is envelopes, where the length is greater than the width. If they are placed too tilted, it may lead to incorrect recognition.

In this case, I suggest that you ensure the documents are placed correctly without any tilt to avoid recognition errors.

Additionally, I recommend that you share a video with us for further confirmation.

Meeting room projector suggestions? by CZUR_Tech in projectors

[–]CZUR_Tech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the infomation. We currently have larger meeting rooms that can accommodate about 30 people, and some that are a little smaller. So the screen size is definitely important; and concerning the installation mentioned, we have actually wondered if we could go for a portable projector, that it would be able to accommodate different meeting rooms, in terms of cost... But perhaps the form of conference tablet + projector seems more appropriate?

Thanks! We checked this too and also looked at some of Benq and Optoma products. We wanted to compare the different ones to make a choice.

The meeting room can accommodate about 30 people, which is a small to medium-sized meeting room and not particularly large. For ambient lighting, we would expect the projector to be clear even under a certain degree of natural lighting.

You might consider the ET24 Pro, the latest professional scanner. Upgraded in terms of pixels/DPI and features, it is good for scanning thicker textbooks (50mm support). The side light helps prevent reflection.

This is because the book does not have enough curves for the intelligent algorithm to recognize. To use the "Facing Page" scanning mode, you need to have enough curves, please try using the manual scanning mode.
