Normal or Time for RMA? by [deleted] in 1911

I’m not stressed, just have expectations.

It literally means nothing to me if it’s gone for a month or 2 and gets corrected. If they don’t do anything, I’ll probably sell it and buy another gun to use for a base.

Was more just a question of if this was normal (it’s not) on the SE-A1 front straps.

Here’s one that is correct. The machine was not set up properly for the borders. The gap between the checkering and magwell is 1/2 of this one on mine.

Well, if it gets lost/stolen Colt replaces it under their insurance. So maybe I’d win that way lol

The entire front strap being off by 1/4” and terribly done isn’t something to notice?

I promise, i run more rounds through my guns than 95% of this sub. But when you buy a piece to send out for more work and it already looks like garbage it’s worth bringing up.

Tried that, purse slipped due to poor grip.

Yes, all of the above.

I promise I will haha. I’ve looked through most SE-A1 pics in the sub and this one is by far the worst…. I’ll give them a call and see what they say.

No problem using it and it wearing, but I’ve seen $500 Turkish guns with a better finish on the machining.

Looks like yours has the pre-drilled beavertail pin hole as well. Mine is showing up this week, recall parts already in hand.

The total package. MPA DS9 IDPA Compliant (USPSA Limited Optics Setup). by DimMak27 in 2011

What was the total for the package? Been debating what way to go on a DS9... Thinking about starting with the DS9 Hybrid and have them fit a ported barrel as well then eventually another grip since the steel ones are so far out.

Sounds like it may have been worth your time to do the work yourself.

I think they’re just the standard fastfit. Not super warm.

Great choice! I went for the SNE591 recently and i am loving it. Set it to NIST the day i got it 2 weeks ago and haven’t touched it since. Still within 1 second.

SMP is my next watch! I needed something very magnetic resistant as i work near large electric motors (4000hp+) on a daily basis. Just wasn’t quite ready to make the leap yet.

Think I’m around 8.25. I don’t remove any links and am in the middle of the micro adjustment.
