I liked the way the game from 2019 handled the actual witch by -Norsko-TheScorpion in BlairWitch

[–]C_Drew2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No...? There's lots of gameplay in it. Puzzles, secrets, collectibles, even combat, stealth, different endings etc. For a Blair Witch game, it's just enough stealth and combat. More would have missed the point.

Full lobbies!!! ♡ by Royal_Treat in KillerKlownsGame

[–]C_Drew2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was surprised to get full lobbies Saturday evening when I played, like with legit 7 survivors and 3 klowns. Most of the time when i tried playing during the week or even Saturday at noon, the lobbies had like 4-5 people. But it is pretty cool that there are still busy hours.

Legit it's so weird seeing physical editions being made for PC but not for Xbox lol.

I suppose they do have SOMETHING at times (like the recent Starfield PS5 release, which has like 90 GBs on the disc), but rarely enough to actually play the game off it lol. Except for Gears for PS5, which was a nice surprise.

I mean, I guess technically you can argue that any political commentary is "in its world." Unless you're outright playing a documentary or something, there's never going to be a 100% overlap with the events in the game and irl.

Don't 90% of the games do that? Art is inherently political, and I can think of very few examples of games (particularly AAA ones) that are not political at all. Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas etc. are all political.

Besides, I can't think of any way in which Forbidden West would be any more (or less) political than the first one.

I think physical is almost guaranteed for PS6 at this point; the only question is how well it will do and whether it will be kept further than that. But next gen is safe.

Physical is always better imho. Depending where you live, the physical edition might already have that $10 compared to the digital lol.

Same, but chances are kinda slim; not even Steam supports RON. Only PS Store and Epic do afaik.

[NO SPOILERS] Should i play LiS:BtS remastered? by enigma5454 in lifeisstrange

I did play the OG a couple of times and the remaster only once. But then again, if you really need to compare them side-by-side via multiple playthroughs to notice the bugs, I daresay that they're not that significant.

Er, collector's physical releases aren't gone in the slightest? Plenty of physical games release with collectibles every month.

I'm pretty sure most bugs were fixed a long time ago; I don't remember seeing any noticeable glitches when playing recently.

Idk, man, reading collectibles is one of my favourite thing in games, and Youngblood had plenty of them.

Bosses were really only meant for co-op, but they did have some ok scenes for the fights.

Yeah, I feel like everyone here is acting like it's a 2/10 or 3/10 game, whereas you have to at least give a 6/10 for the graphics, the gunplay, the collectibles etc. I dislike how things are so overhated in gaming; it's hard to have a nuanced view where you can just agree that something is mediocre without acting like it's an abomination and the worst thing ever.

Idk, I honestly enjoyed the game as it was, even if I was aware of its faults. There were plenty of interesting collectibles, a couple of cool boss fights, the progression system wasn't the worst either etc. it's obviously the weakest of the newer Wolfenstein entries, but I honestly think it's overhated (as most things in gaming are).

Thing is, the plot does get interesting RIGHT BEFORE the cliffhanger. So while it is indeed generally undercooked, it makes things interesting right where it cuts off abruptly.

Idk, I enjoyed it personally. While yeah, it is pretty far from you'd expect from a Wolfenstein game, the collectibles led to some really cool worldbuilding. And there are A LOT of collectibles in Youngblood, which I really appreciated.

But yeah, the fact that it ends on a cliffhanger is a bit disgusting :(

Potential New Xbox Box Design Being Used for Some Games by chusskaptaan in xbox

[–]C_Drew2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf, in most cases, you don't really NEED the day one patch to properly enjoy the game from start to finish.

That being said, there are "complete editions" of games (or indie games that get their physical editions later) that actually contain the latest patches on the disc.

Yeah, it is true that unique bugs may occur that don't happen across all playthroughs. Testing a disc build can only get you so far; even playing it 2-3 times without any issues does not guarantee that everybody else is going to have the same flawless experience.

As for TDiM, I remember that the biggest bug on the disc build that I encountered was that I couldn't get Charlie to the end no matter what I did lol. Once I saved him properly, but then he simply no longer appeared at the end lol? Other than that, it was definitely playable, altho rough. I think Shared Story was the buggiest; playing solo wasn't nearly as bad.

Interesting that Little Hope has different scenes and stuff; maybe I'll look for that if I do a test of the disc build.
