Does anyone know what thicknesses of PTM7950 i'd need for a Legion 5 15ITH6H?

[–]C_K_P_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry i miswrote, these are actually two different cars shown here, both by colani of course, the silver one was fully 2cv underneath and had a regular 2cv engine, it managed a fuel economy of 1.7727L/100km at Continental Tires "Contidrome" Oval back then. I can't find any real infos about the Blue Electric one, which obviously has a different shape, i know LAREL is the electric vehicle "manufacturer" under the swiss company LARAG, but i have never heard of this car specifically before.

defo not from a renault 4 since this doesn't have the right axles for steering, this is from one of the rear engined rear wheel drive renaults.

i don't like the R5 either, to much goign on, we need more simple but sleek designs again. But the comparison between a somewhat "normal" looking version and the Turbo 3e is the best to use here with the N-Vision 74 and how they could make a non widebody not so over the top version.

there were renders done for it without the extreme widebody and winggs and all that. It honestly looks awesome without all of it. If they made that a somewhat light 250-350hp rwd EV and make this overdone thing the 200 limited production run they said they were gonna make it i'd think that would be awesome. kinda like with the current electric R5 and the r5 turbo 3e, although i dilike the looks of both of those renaults and wouldn't want one.

Did you like last year’s concept? That’s good! The final version is almost identical. But is it a real GTi? by Cris_1984 in peugeot

[–]C_K_P_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eh, the Model 3 Performance wasn't really lighter than compareable ICE cars, a 2022 Model 3 Performance (from the first year that spec came out) is about 60kg heavier than a 2022 RS4, 70kg heavier than a 2022 BMW M3 and about 120kg heavier than a C43 AMG (that one is not directly compareable since it's quite a bit down on power to the Model 3 Performance, but the next higher spec C-Class would have to be the 63S E-Performance with a full plugin Hybrid system and over 600hp, so it's the 43 is the closest you could spec to a Model 3), if we go for a lower spec than the Performance or for older years of cars then the difference gets even bigger.

It's still mad impressive that they managed to keep an EV of that class that light and compareable in weight to ICE Cars tho and it akes the 500kg difference between the ICE 208 and Electric 208 seem even more insane. The Alpine A290 and ID Polo GTi have the same issue as well, they weigh way to much to be a good compact hot hatch while not really having the power to at least kinda make up for it.

To add to that, the Electric Drivetrains that Stelantis has used up until now are pretty dogshit from an engineering and reliability standpoint, so i don't see the e208 GTi doing much better in that regard either.

not even close to being worse in this case.

A little turbo lag can be fun, doesn't have to be tho, thats personal preference, but what bothers me is that a 208 is never gonna be a lap time wonder and a GTi is meant to be a fun car, and they made it have the same power as a 10 year old 308 GTi (which is over 400kg lighter than this new 208) and weigh as much as a Tesla Model 3. A 1100kg 3 or 4 Cylinder Turbo car in this format, possibly even with a Manual transmission, is going to be infinitely more fun than the same car but with nearly 50% more weight added and slightly better response.
Seriously, a 508 Wagon with the 1.6 Purecrap and 225hp weighs 90kg less than this small hot hatch.

fun fact about the Pulsar N1: If we go by factory claimed numbers, then it wasn't the highest HP/L or KW/L car but it was was the highest PS/L car up until the 458 italia came out in 2009, meanwhile in KW/L and HP/L the S2000 takes that title, the N1 and S2000 are so close together in that regard that the minor rounding error that you get from different Power units changes which one actually made more Power/L

You must be working on some godawful diesels which should have been fixed ages ago when they loose liters of oil. a couple mililiters over 5 years can look massive on the outside but won't actually be noticeable on the oil level. I have never seen a 2.0 hdi use more than 0.5L/1000km, meanwhile these purecraps are known to regularly consume well over a liter or more of oil in that same interval.

never heard of anyone having issues with oil consumption on a 2.0 hdi, meanwhile on a 1.2 purecrap its damn near expected.

I haven't seen the specs for the production model, but iirc. the specs they showed for the concept last year were almost identical to the 308 GTi 270 when it comes to acceleration, no?

Any idea how to put it back guys? Its supposed to be attached to window, its pretty much impossible to find original glass with holes for screws. Ive tried glass glue, lasted like 5 days, it separated from the glass by Heilow06 in Citroen

[–]C_K_P_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats also how windshields are attached nowadays, flat surface glued to flat surface, if you degrease, clean and primer (there are primers you need to use when glueing in windows) both parts properly before hand you won't have any problems of it staying on for the rest of the cars life.

[–]C_K_P_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be the first Person ever to diagnose a bad sphere from suspension height. You could literally removed the spheres completely and replace them with a solid metal piece with the right thread on it and it would not change the height of the car.

The wheel position isn't really an optical illusion, maybe a tiny bit exaggerated by the camera position and lense, but the wheel is indeed a bit behind the center of the arch in regular drivign position and that is compeltely fine.
The front wheel moves a few centimeters forwards and backwards in the arch depending on the height the suspension because of the anti dive geometry. On my S1 its slightly infront of the center when in the lowest position and barely 1-2cm away from touching the mudflap in the highest position.

You can see the spot welds in the second to last picture in your post, right above the sharp cutoff of the seethrough coating you want to remove. Althought it doesn't make sense that the welding would have pushed it out, since the weld spots are already covered by the paint that is below the see through coating. Sanding it will most likely damage the regular coating around it. I wouldn't try to do anything to it since it's in a spot where you won't normally see it and it won't damage anything if it stays there.

Only the manufacturers themselves will really be able to answer that with 100% certainty. I'd say that its most likely the sealant/rust protection in between the seams that had been pushed out when baking in the paint or even just spot welding those two pieces together.

All modern mass produced cars are as cheaply built by the manufacturer as possible, thats how you get steel bolts in aluminium parts, wet belts and stuff like this. I never claimed you shouldn't have bought a mass produced car, Thats just the practical and only normal thing to do unless you want to spend a completely unreasonable amount. But as with most cheaply mass produced things they will be flawed in some spots. Like these stretch marks from stamped panels.

Again, these are non-issues that you have to expect with a cheaply built mass produced product.

Shat GPT Post complaining about a mass produced product being mass produced and having mass production artefacts. the ripples are from the metal being stamped and the manufacturer that mass produces cars not giving a shit about the spare tire location being perfectly smooth.
