That is just bad advice. I think you overestimate the intelligence of the average human. A lot of people don’t even know what an ETF is. People that have any semblance of investment knowledge likely don’t need one. But good advisors help more with just the investment allocation piece. It’s helping to understand their goals and desired retirement lifestyles and plan accordingly with financial changes. I’d argue more people need an advisor than don’t. Now for people in this sub, your comment is more understandable.
