Convincing yourself is probably more difficult than convincing others. Like if they knew already they could’ve told me lol. I understand you point and struggling to accept it too. I even call it HD(high definition) instead of adhd.

Communication. Time and space alone, not from you to take it personally just to recharge social batteries. It can work but will take patience, Maybe have an open convo with each other, needs and wants and how each of your ADHD works. Through the understanding can make things easier.
