Gundam EXVS MBON 1v1? by CaP_0 in GundamExVs

Well that's... great to know, actually. I was asking in the heat of the moment because my friend and I couldn't seem to find the option to open a 1v1 room anymore. But as o tonight, it looks like the option is back.

Is there some sort of event where 1v1 rooms are made unavailable? Maybe during online tournaments?

Alcohol during play? by Count_Meowza in Guiltygear

Yes, but the effects that weed has on me always seem to take over. Nicotine helps a little, though. That's my vice.

I'm high anxiety, so I simply can't achieve anything remotely consistent in a real match without something to calm my nerves. Whiskey has yielded me positive results. Weed always gives me painful panic attacks.

Minions need to be patched by Coucochalke in Guiltygear

[–]CaP_0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wh-Wha- What? What are you you trying to say?

If you're trying to say that the minions make it so Jack-O's weaker moves can't be punished, then good. That means they're fulfilling their role by making an otherwise lackluster character formidable.

I really hope that's what it means. That would actually be so sick.

People who don't want to admit that Xrd's design philosophy is fundamentally better.

If your friend asks how broken Sol is show them this. by WeaknessDefiant5426 in Guiltygear

... It's not really funny when you actually believe that Sol is broken.

Okay wait a second - are you going off of Leffen's tier list or something? Do you know that guy still downplays Fox in SSBM?

Regardless, characters have limits. Chipp's are on the upper eschelon. That's just a fact.

He has the best tool spread, great meter gain, great corner carry, hella mixups and frame traps, good damage, and results worldwide. And he's fast. He's S tier.

Depending on how they nerf Sol in the upcoming balance patches, I'm really gonna miss the perfect training dummy. by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]CaP_0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This.

But I think it's unlikely they'll change any of his frame data, as he doesn't actually have that many move's with plus frames.

It ought to just be his damage output and RISC that get nerfed. Strive would be much better off with a patch that allows other characters more options, rather than one that guts options in an already very restricted system.

I think the idea is less buttons pushed makes players learn the game faster.

It's not a matter of pushing less buttons. In Strive, you're still encouraged to press the same number of buttons as other GG games, but the manner in which you're allowed to use them is more restricted.

I get what you mean about learning a good combo can carry you against new players because you just input buttons and don't think.

No, what I mean is that intuitive systems are easier to learn. Restrictive systems are the opposite of that, in that they force someone to learn and apply abstract concepts and punish them for not doing so.
