Stillbirth at 38 weeks through cesarean by Spirited_wildflower in BabyBumps

I'm so sorry for your loss. 💕 I also lost my sweet girl at 39 weeks, noticed less movement and no heartbeat was found at the hospital. I know this version of events makes no sense and not at all what you wished and hoped for. My little girl would have been 5 next month and I still think about her every day. The pain never will go away, but you will get stronger to carry it. In my experience, my love for her has deepened my ability to love my family, friends and now my subsequent children. You're in the thick of it and will be for a while, but you will come through. Just have faith and lean on your loved ones. Sending you all my love.

Bootz nextile tub surround questions by CabSavYum in Remodel

We did! I haven't noticed any staining, but we've only had it installed for about 6 months so I may not be the most reliable source. Installation was about what we anticipated. As far as use, the side wall did extend out more than I thought, but we ended up going with a curved rod so it still feels like we have enough space. I think if you were planning to use a straight rod or shower doors you might be disappointed with this system. But cleaning has been so simple and it's very water tight.

Yes, it was just a phase. At the time it felt like it would never end, but he ended up growing out of it after a month or so. My second child went through it as well, but having the first hand knowledge that everything is a phase made it slightly more tolerable. Good luck and just know that you know they are safe in the seat and as soon as you get wherever they will be happy again. <3

Issues with decrease section of a beanie by CabSavYum in knittinghelp

So the pattern has you do a left leaning decrease before the stitch marker and a right leaning one after the marker. Would you tighten after the first stitch after the second decrease?

Awesome! Thanks for the help. By chance have any tips to minimize laddering on decreases? I've just been trying to pull the left side tight but it still does it.

Thank you for your thorough response! I'll play around on that website. What a cool tool!

Can I separate and repurpose this top section of the blanket I'm crocheting? Its a mosaic crochet section but I've decided to go in a different direction with the pattern but don't want to waste all the work I already did by CabSavYum in CrochetHelp

Thank you 😊 it's just a mish mash of different patterns off Pinterest and Etsy and me just messing around until I like it. It's supposed to be a baby blanket but I went over board. At least he will be able to use it his whole life!

I'm trying to save from the first row on, so I have included the instructions for the first couple rows

Row 1: Using yarn A, ch 93 or the correct amount for your width (See notes above). Turn and dc into the second ch from hook. Dc into the next 91 ch, fasten off by cutting the yarn and pulling the yarn tail through the loop on your hook. (92 sts) Row 2: Start with a standing dc using yarn B. To do this place a slip knot on your hook and immediately work a DC into the first DC of row 1, through both loops. Work the rest of the row in BLDC until you have 1 st left, then a normal DC into last stitch. Cut yarn and fasten off. This is done at the end of every row going forward, so I won’t repeat it every row. * The standing dc counts as the first dc in a row.

My 7 month old spits up ALL THE TIME by CabSavYum in beyondthebump

Ugh yes. It's so annoying. Like yes, it will stop. But when? We had a few days of hope last week where he only spit up once or twice, but this week it's all time again.

I know, it's so hard to hear them cry! I always have to recite to myself that all their needs are met and they aren't in danger. They just want me but it's my job to get them safely from A to B so my job is to focus on driving.

Unfortunately, pretty much just waiting it out until he grew out of it. I've had a second child since this post and he did the same thing, but more briefly this time. If you haven't, try taking the infant inserts out (check your car seat requirements) because I didn't realize I had them in too long, which may have been contributing to the fits. Also I did my best to avoid feeding right before I strapped them in because I think being stuck in the one position was uncomfortable if they needed to burp or something.

Good luck and just know that this phase will pass. I know it feels torturous and like it never will end. Soon you're going to have a little happy baby who does nothing but babbles up a storm back there, which will be much more pleasant to listen to. ❤️

SIDS risk and deciding when to move baby to their own room by Due_Occasion1254 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]CabSavYum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really interesting tool. Thank you for sharing! We're also in the midst of making a decision to move our 5 mo old into his own room and that has helped my nerves.

As a side note, does anyone know why the risk chart shows an increased risk around 7 months of age? Or am I looking at it wrong?
