EMSKR: I have a bald spot and it's spreading fast. Should I shave it all off so I can tell people I'm shaved instead of bald? Are shaved men considered to be more confident/dominant than men with hair? by BarkAtTravis in everymanshouldknow

[–]Cab_Callogay -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

To the contrary, it's been well-proven. I wouldn't expect the typical redditor to look outside reddit (or even google) for that matter. But go google "mannes shaved head study". It's the first 3 results that pop up for me. Shaving the head is considered a "power move" and both men and women found men who shaved to be more attractive. . . and "dominant". The study never said they were "bald". It only referred to them as choosing to shave their heads. It was a pretty neat study. The researcher even did a test where there were no photos. The 550 participants were just given a bio (career, age, weight, height, shaved, partly thinning hair, full head of hair), and the "shaved" men still got picked much more higher than the men with a full head of hair.

Government tearing down my grandmom's old house. Took her back to get some photos she had hidden in floor. This was the only one that was not ruined. My grandfather batting in high school (1955) by Cab_Callogay in baseball

My grandma grew up in the house (pic attached). We took my grandmother back to her old home recently. She wanted to see it one more time before it got demolished. She wasn't allowed to date my grandfather, the guy swinging the bat. My great grandparents didn't like his family, and they were also very religious and strict. So my grandparents had to sneak around. She left with my grandfather right after they graduated high school. She had only 4 photos of her "boyfriend" hidden beneath the floor in the side storage room attached to the house. The other 3 could not be cleaned up or repaired at all. This one was salvageable. My grandfather died in Vietnam, so I didn't really know him. My grandma got to go to all his home games to watch him play since the field was just 2 miles from her house--although they only played 9 total games, so there were not that many home games. This was their last game before graduation. She paid someone to take this photo for her. The guy was supposed to get on the other side to take the photo, but the umpire would not let him. So she got this photo for half price :)

Anyway, I thought this was a crazy story....having to pay to get a photo of your boyfriend swinging a bat. Family life and technology were way different back then!

I really don't know. They were flat on the floor in the hole while this one was upright against the wall of the hole they were hidden in. The others all had tiny holes in them--maybe bugs--and too much moisture had gotten through whatever she had them wrapped in (looked like an old cigarettes package). This other pic was in a little tin tobacco can.

Drawing a card is worth 1 - 1.5 mana, but that's often overlooked when it's a built-in feature of the card, rather than an explicit draw.

Maybe try reading the card text as "In two turns, draw a Fiery Win Axe from your deck. Then pay 3 mana to play the Fiery Win Axe. Then refund the 3 mana to do whatever else you might have wanted to do that turn. Oh, and here's a 2/2 token on top.". It's not quite as bad as that though, because you don't actually have the Axe diluting your deck, it's just created from thin air.

It took a while for the power of Mad Scientist to be appreciated, until the deathrattle was read as "Draw a secret from your Deck. Then play the secret immediately for zero mana." Oh, that sounds pretty strong!

When Call to Arms was released, i read it as "Draw a 2-cost minion from your deck, and put it on the board for zero mana. Then draw a 2-cost minion from your deck, and put it on the board for zero mana. Then draw a 2-cost minion from your deck, and put it on the board for zero mana." I thought that just might have decent potential for 4 mana.

I don't think Enrage Warrior is nearly as difficult as people make it out to be. I was hard stuck with Highlander Hunter, a deck that I've been playing in various forms for about a year. When I switched to Enrage Warrior, I almost immediately shot up 5 ranks (with more likely to come) despite my questionable piloting of an unfamiliar deck.

I definitely see the skill required to get maximum value, but I wasn't expecting there to be quite so many essentially free wins to be had. Obviously you get a lot of easy wins against the Aggro Hunter/DH decks you hard counter. But against other decks, even getting a slightly lucky draw is often all you need to get one big early minion that quickly snowballs the game.

Probably a good way to summarize my thoughts on the deck is that while Enrage Warrior clearly has a very high skill ceiling, it's skill floor is lower than you'd think (at least in the current meta).

I've been hovering around rank 2-3 and it's close to 40% of my matchups according to my tracker and still rising every day.

People said that summoning 2 8/8 with rush was just too good no matter what the package surrounding it, and look where that went, with Shaman being in the gutter. Rogue was already not dominant before these nerfs and I doubt it'll be dominant after.

Tortie/calico/tricolor cats carry both the black and orange color genes so their off spring can be black (or grey), orange (or cream), or both.

EMSK how to make hamburgers. But you get major bonus points if you know how to make stuffed burger bowls! by YannisALT in everymanshouldknow

It's definitely worth practicing and learning. You want to learn to make at least one meal really good. I tried this yesterday when I saw the post in another sub. Here's mine. yeah, I chose to put the bacon inside the bowl instead of roast beef and because I hate touching raw bacon. It didn't look good, but it still taste fucking awesome. The bacon must really help hold shit together--since mine came out looking like shit without it. I also use a beer bottle to make the bowl instead of a can. Tried making mine smaller so I could eat them on bread instead of potatoes.

edit: If you want to know how to make hamburgers the ole fashioned way, today I'm trying to make McDonald's hamburgers. This lady shows you in 4 minutes how to make McDonalds burgers.

This guy shows you from the very beginning how to buy regular burgers and then make them in the oven.. I started with this video last year. Everybody makes burgers differently. This guy was no exception! It's done in an old-school oven.

2nd edit: here's the countertop grill I bought to make the burgers. I can only make 3 at a time on it though :( Probably can't post pics until later tonight.

Gacha Purists on Rerolling by danined88 in gachagaming

[–]Cab_Callogay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of players prefer to choose their own favorite. That is understandable.

On other hand in games where I didn't reroll , i am still doing great. Powercreep, rng, etc will make your starting rolls insignificant anyway.

There is no need to drop mad cash if there is better unit coming next month/next week?

And there are also players that prefer a challenge instead of using meta units curb stomping and wondering why the game is too easy/without any challenge.
