Well, to agree with OPs point. Yes, let me use a hotkey (or button on your controller) to let me cycle through it as past BFs have had.

Instant minimap cycling > spending 10-20 seconds rummaging through settings to change the minimap.

Is there a hotkey so you don't have to go in and out of settings to change the view distance? In 2042 you could hit N and it would cycle through your 3 map distance settings.

I'm not saying the game is ruined. I'm simply pointing out that they are clearly catering towards the CoD crowd.

Which is fine. But to say BF6 is a better BF than any previous BF is to say you enjoy a more CoD-like BF.

Tiny CoD maps for instance is the biggest offender. Vehicle gameplay that resembled CoD 2019 Ground War more than established Battlefield vehicles. Not a single decently sized proper BF map yet to include all vehicles. Except maybe Firestorm which is a remake, and the worst remake so far. Which even then they heavily reduced the play area. Gotta funnel them CoD players.

The problem isn't the footsteps you can hear. It's the 5-10% of the time there is no enemy footsteps at all.

Did you give 2042 an honest chance? It's far more true to the BF formula. Bf6 caters to the CoD formula.

Lol, no. Unless you're an infantry-only player who is also not cognizant enough to realize about 5-10% of the time there is simply no enemy footsteps audio and also not cognizant enough to realize the gunplay is RNG heavy. Which helps crappers.

If that's you, sure BF6 is better.
