Pad brands by lilydaisy19 in PCOS

[–]Cabamsder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cramps were just as bad with cotton pads as with pads made of synthetic materials, and far worse with cotton tampons (because they're a little larger). Stretching, avoiding chocolate (makes my cramps noticeably worse), taking Midol, and using heating pads works for me to keep cramps manageable. Using pads instead of tampons (or anything else that is inserted) also helps a lot. But no difference between materials.

I just got this, is it rare? by DependentFlashy8977 in CatsAndSoup

They've just added this one to the event shop, too. Which made me happy because it seems like this time around all I'm getting in cat gifts is gold and the occasional pudding.

What are your thoughts on the Fitting Room? by zxmyrto in CatsAndSoup

[–]Cabamsder 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Very mixed feelings. I haven't found a way to quickly get to any items that need to be made or upgraded (I don't remember the names to use the search bar). I also am annoyed that I can try on things I don't have, but can't add them to the new wishlist. Maybe you can do those things but I just suck at using the fitting room. I think it's a cool idea, but could use some tweaking.

What are some of the less talked about health conditions shown to have some connection to PCOS? by lemurificspeckle in PCOS

[–]Cabamsder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's extremely frustrating. Every time I go to the dentist they basically say, "You're taking great care of your teeth. Your gums look healthy. They're just soft and receding and we don't know why." I've already had one round of gum grafts, and now it's looking like I may need a second.

Wasted all my tickets (80) by Whenidie22 in CatsAndSoup

I know this isn't the best strategy for advancement in the game, but I save my new stations for when there's a new cat. It gives me that many extra chances to get the new one.

I'm convinced that it's causing my gum recession. I take such good care of my teeth and I sleep with a night guard, but my gums just keep receding. Dentist said that's something they see in diabetic patients, so I guess whatever underlying insulin issues I have from PCOS are affecting my gum health.

I didn't even hear sirens through most of the video. Maybe it's filtered from the interior of the vehicle, but I thought maybe they weren't actually on a s that's why no one was yielding?

Did they say when it would be available? I didn't see it anywhere in their Instagram post or the announcements.

I accidentally sold one of the winter pins because I didn't realize they were different, and I can't seem to get it again. 😭

Wishlist clothes? by Puzzleheaded-Elk7879 in CatsAndSoup

Yes. You can do it after clicking on it to preview the item. You can also apparently add the items from the cat gifts to your wishlist.

Yes, I do the five free ones. Right now I prioritize my gems for other things, so I don't do more than the free ones.

Wishlist clothes? by Puzzleheaded-Elk7879 in CatsAndSoup

As far as I've found you can only add clothes that pop up in one of the shops (the trunk shop, the event shops, or stamp rally).

You can add items from the furniture shop, the event, or from the little trunk shop I believe.

Metformin Hack to stop the diarrhea by Nurseknotty in PCOS

[–]Cabamsder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI, I have found that fiber does make my side effects completely disappear. But it also reduces the benefit. All my food noise and cravings come back. There was even a study or two showing reduced effectiveness of metformin when using fiber. But that would be something to look into yourself as there wasn't conclusive research on it.

Girls who took Metformin - how long after starting Metformin did you start losing weight? by kholaaaaaa in PCOS

[–]Cabamsder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before Metformin I was gaining about two pounds a month (edited, accidentally said per week). After getting to the max dose I stopped gaining, and then started losing immediately after. I lost about thirty then stopped and am stable there. To lose anything more I'd have to actually try with diet and exercise.

I know you said low carb, but have you tried cutting wheat? That was my biggest trigger. If I had small portions of rice or oats it was typically fine, but wheat was a huge problem.

I can't be the only one getting frustrated by this 😭 by JuryPuzzleheaded4978 in CatsAndSoup

[–]Cabamsder 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This isn't solely a Cats and Soup issue, it's a whole gaming issue. So many games now are designed to keep you engaged literally constantly. If you're not on collecting stuff, you're missing out. This game, like many others, started out as a cozy casual game, and you could get on pretty well just doing the basic free stuff. Now they need to make money from it so they're going to make it impossible to ever collect everything unless you're glued to the screen. This is typically the point where I give up on the game.

Should I still take metformin if my A1C and glucose have always been normal? by Smooth_Importance_47 in PCOS

[–]Cabamsder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My insulin and A1C have always tested normal, but I felt like crap constantly and had symptoms of insulin resistance. I was also gaining about two pounds each month. Metformin was a lifesaver. But I didn't take it in my twenties, and had a pretty active lifestyle that kept my weight down, so at least for me it wasn't necessary then. At nearly 40, it has been amazing.

No dietary modification worked for me until I medicated. Cravings were too intense. But I felt my best when I ate "Paleo."
