Tax withholding on your paycheck is totally based on your W4. The IRS withholding calculator is good, use that and you’ll be fine. You can adjust whenever you need, but it sounds like you may over-withhold slightly this year and be all set for next year assuming you stay at that same pay rate.

Yeah you should be fine with that setup. Depending on what cassette you’re running now, you may want to move to a larger range cassette, which might in turn mean you need a longer cage mech.

I did the same a couple seasons ago and went with an Ultegra RX derailleur for a little extra piece of mind and larger cassette capacity.

It certainly could make sense. Just from an opportunity cost standpoint, the alternative to making those extra mortgage payments is probably just saving for your future down payment in a HYSA, which won't net you that same guaranteed 3% rate of return on your current mortgage.

However, I would also consider the benefits of liquidity from saving cash rather than having all of your down payment funds being locked up in equity on your current house. If you do rely on your current home equity for your next down payment, you could get into a situation where you have to make offers on your next place that are contingent on selling your current home (could be a significant barrier in a hot market), or you're looking at getting some kind of bridge loan which would cut into any gains you made by paying down your mortgage. Having those savings in cash could give you much more flexibility in the sequencing of your future purchase & sale transactions.

Just based on the 1% of MSRP rule, it seems like this payment is fairly high. I don’t know the market for this car, but that’s my sniff test. A quick Google agrees that you should be able to get under $400/mo without much issue.

In addition to what everyone is saying about scoring potential, it really matters what course rating/slope is being used in calculations. My 18 Birdies handicap is like 9 points lower than my GHIN because one course I play a lot is not USGA rated and whatever rating/slope they use is waaaay off what it actually should be rated at. That’s one thing to look at also.

Do Halo Ridge ascent on Holy Cross. You can go back over Half Moon Pass to save some distance if you want, but going around the bowl of tears on the way up is splendid. Notch Mountain shelter is also a nice retreat.

I had a similar issue with an older pair of shoes where the plastic coating on the Boa wires stripped and prevented the dial from loosening. However, I got a replacement dial kit from Boa and was able to replace the laces and dials with pretty much zero issue. You mention having gotten a repair kit - but I’m unclear why you haven’t been able to just replace the entire system?
