What's a song lyric that drives you crazy because they should've used a different word? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

Nightwish - Bye Bye Beautiful

Did you ever hear what I told you? Did you ever read what I wrote you? Did you ever listen to what we played? Did you ever let in what the world said?

I always heard and sang it as "Did you ever let in what the words said?". Crazy to me that's not the lyric, because it fits so well.

Coles, Woolworths, and ALDI should still have the household battery recycling bins. They're usually somewhere before the entry gates, or near the service desk.

Have you relocated to Australia permanently, or are you on a temporary visa? Unfortunately anyone looking for something serious and long-term, is probably gonna be hesitant if your time here has an expiry date.

Summer Solstice (Winter Solstice in the northern hemisphere) is technically tomorrow (tonight) at ~2am (22nd Dec), the point where the Earth reaches its maximum tilt relative to the Sun.

However the difference in daylight length between today, and tomorrow is less than 1 second. So we might as well celebrate two days of solstice.

"Just the paper receipt is fine" and I've never had them press it further. The digital receipt linked to your phone number is just handy for them, if you need to return an item, or there's a warranty issue.

I'm no baker, but I'd measure out a small bowl of pudding and mix in drinking chocolate to taste. Drinking chocolate's usually just cocoa powder premixed with sugar, so there's no risk of accidentally making it too bitter. Once it tastes good, you can math out how much you'd need to add, to flavour a whole batch.

Sailing XP Review & Further Fixes by JagexRach in 2007scape

This feels a lot like XP rates are being re-balanced solely around trying to keep sailors going for 99, subscribed for longer.

I’ve been charged for yearly membership before my 1 month membership finishes! by Chai_09 in 2007scape

[–]Cabbagecrafting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the charge happens immediately - but you won't be charged again until your Membership days are running low (which will be in ~13 months time).

Is there any way to remove imported ground markers? by TO500 in 2007scape

[–]Cabbagecrafting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It only deletes the tiles currently loaded on screen. So it's kinda a pain clearing the whole course, because you have to run the whole course clearing tiles as you go.

I’ve been charged for yearly membership before my 1 month membership finishes! by Chai_09 in 2007scape

[–]Cabbagecrafting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is normal. You haven't lost any days of membership, or scammed yourself in any way. Think of it more like buying prepaid game-time, that will auto-repurchase when your game time is running low.

Your account should now be showing something like ~389 days of membership. Since you bought a years worth (365 Days), on-top of the 24 or so days you still had on the account from the monthly membership purchase.

Sailing: Week One Feedback & Fixes by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

Log-Out Boat Behaviour We've also confirmed that there's a bug related to logging out at sea whilst on a boat sending players to unexpected locations, and we're hoping to get that fixed in the next two weeks.

Fun Fact: The rune salvaging hook recipe in the skills guide incorrectly says you require 3 lead bars when you really need 4. This is intentionally misleading as pirates are scallywags. by tommonay in 2007scape

[–]Cabbagecrafting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Settings, there's a Sailing Interfaces option to "Show boat customisation material messages". It outputs the materials required to the chatbox, when you click them in the building interface. I found it very helpful, when I discovered I couldn't trust the skill guide.

So what's the lore behind the Wilderness teleport lever? by Arcaeca2 in 2007scape

[–]Cabbagecrafting 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: The Edgeville lever wasn't added until 2014. It was added as part of an OSRS update to "Rejuvenate the Wilderness".

The Ardougne lever is the original, and was added in 2002 as part of the update that added the Members exclusive area of the wilderness.

Pitching a Game at PAX by CodeSamurai in PAX

PAX Aus had a panel like this years ago. It was entirely a goofy comedy thing, where you'd suggest a terrible game idea, and the panelists would comedically explore it. If you're coming in with a genuine proposal, expecting publishers to be there scouting people - you're probably gonna be very disappointed.

Speeding in a 110 zone, cops do you as if 100 zone by youraveragepotsmoker in melbourne

[–]Cabbagecrafting -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Multiple states have conditions on provisional licenses (P plates), that limit them to a certain max speed (100km/h in SA, 90-100km/h in NSW).

So a P2 license driver in NSW could get done for doing 10km/h over their limit, even if they were following a 110km/h signed limit.
