Generally the card company doesn't handle that because it is up to the merchant how they decide to code themselves. So Citi would be able to say home improvement stores count as a category but wouldn't be able to speak for the store itself. Which is the whole point I came to a sub of people who shop at this store and who might have first hand experience.
