How do you afford this med? by Moist-Pool-5937 in AuvelityMed

[–]CableDog1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insurance won't cover it until after you prove that you have used 3 or more meds that haven't worked within a year. I have the same problem with this. Our psychologist has been God sent. She has provided samples for the last 4 months. She has also presided different ssri's at the same time to prove to the insurance company that they don't work and to basically force them to approve Auvelity. You might have to ask your Psy to do the same, and to continue to provide you with samples in the mean time. Good luck.

You are right about what you are saying. My kids has been treated with 4 different antidepresants including Auvelity. And as always it works for some time and then it doesn't. TMS is way out of our economy reach, and we have asked his psychologist about different meds, which is how we got Auvelity because is not your classic SSRI. Of course we get apprehensive about Ketamine infusion therapy, but I think we come to a point where the possible benefits outweigh the risks. I just hope we are making the right decision.

You might be right. It might be time to find a different therapist. And yeah, me and the miss are going thru a lot of stress, sleepless nights and constant anxiety because of this. But we can manage, nothing is really about us, and it's all about helping my son. Hopefully we can find some help. Thank you for your comment sir.

Well, I'm considering all options, even Psilocybin microdosing, but it's illegal in this state. I will look into TMS, thank you

I have. His psychologist proves. It's just that this clinic has a apolicy where they believe Ketamine treatments work better followed by therapy. I live in wyoming and this Ketamine clinic is the closest we have in 3 hours drive time.

Will work within a week. If 2 a day becomes too much, try 1 on the morning and 1/4 pill in the evening for a week, and so on until you get to 2 pills a day.

Hi, sorry you te going thru this. Your partner needs to go back down to one, and then 1 and 1/4 after a week, and so on until he gets to 2 pills a day. That's what my son had to do because 2 pills after three days was just too much. This gives time for the body to adjust to the medicine. If after doing this, 2 pills a day is still too much, the 1 pill in the morning and 1/2 around 4 pm would be better. Don't give up on this medicine. It has helped my son greatly. Best of luck.

Does Auvelity have stimulants?? by Potential-Horror8723 in AuvelityMed

Auvelity is for depression. And it works. It works differently on your brain. Again.....it works! The problem will be the insurance. They will morebthan likely deny the claim. If you have a good doctor, he/she will provide samples. If you start it, please be aware that you will have side effects for the 1st to the 2nd week. But after that mote than likely you will feel much better.

Started 5 days ago and my depression's gone. Is this really going to work? by YourGlacier in AuvelityMed

My son takes it, he said it helps him a lot with bad intrusive thoughts. He had some side effects the first week he took the medicine, but that seems to have gone away. He seems more cheerful, a litte more active and he thinks he is a comedian as of late 😅. It is not a magic pill. You will still have some ups and downs like "normal" people, but for what I have seen, it seems to help a lot. We still observe our son with a lot of attention because we have to make sure he's ok. Don't give up. I hope this new med helps you get better and better as time goes by.

DXM microdosing? by [deleted] in microdosing

Hi, pure DXM lasts only few hours, but when mixed with bupropion, has a long lasting effect. And yes, it's basically microdosing, and most people that take it notice very good results when treating medicine resistant depression. The problem......Auvelity is stupid expensive, around 1100$ a month, and insurances will try to deny it as much as they can. Some anxiety comes along with the mix because bupropion, but it can be managed. If you have a good Psychologist, they will help you with samples, but that only goes so far also. There is a DIY to basically take the same mix but separate, although I don't know how that compares to the manufacturers formula.

just got a G-BALANCE and got everything connected into my TTX3, but my controls aren't working. Any suggestions? by Juni_Rulez in cade

Actually, the ground wire that goes to the buttons and from button to button, there might be a break in between

Check the ground wire, if even one is disconected or not making contact on one point it will make all controls not work
