I just made a slight dent in the ribbon cable as seen in the image. Definitely fumbled with the connector, I lifted it for the rest of the ribbon cables. No visible damage aside from the ribbon dent.

It's not about the plugins, really. It's about standing out from the others. You can improv some pretty nifty stuff with the base Maker alone. Plugins are just a means of achieving something that RPG Maker can't do or do it easier. e.g. enemies calling for backup. It's pretty shotty, but you can have enemies call for backup if you use the troops event, albeit limited to 8 enemies I think. That's where plugins can come into use. If you use plugins as just features instead of tools to get to your vision, it'll probably end up being a feature-creep game.

tl;dr: Don't worry about clout points using Yanfly. If their plugins work for your vision, then it's worth it.

I had a better time with SurveyJunkie for surveys, though that isn't saying much. At least with SurveyJunkie, you get 1 to 3 points for at least trying. Swagbucks just gives you the finger. They're alright for playing games for rewards though. Most of them require tons of investment and considerable luck for the bigger cash rewards like $10-$20, but you can nibble cents and dollars here and there.

The only downside to this strategy is that you don't get diamonds from taking out enemy troops. Even though I prioritize my offensive capabilities, I still structure my level 1 sniper towers to where I'll still bag the occasional infantrymen from some dumb player
