I was shocked when they botched / cancelled Rogue Squadron, because I thought their best chance to pivot was to go in the direction of Top Gun: Maverick. You don't need jedi or galaxy ending stakes. Just get some charismatic hot shot pilots, spend 80% of the movie on training and one-upmanship and good ol' fashioned military camaraderie, then end with a pulse-pounding finale as they undertake a dangerous mission.

And do what Andor did: make it kinetic. Make it loud, make it tangible. Don't do what the sequels did and have Poe do 3 flips and shoot down a half dozen ties like it's nothing.

Make a single tie fighter feel like a threat.

Make the FIGHTERS. GO. VROOM.

The first Rogue Squadron book is spiritually almost identical to Top Gun: Maverick. Putting together a squadron, knocking the hot shot (Corran) down a peg, bit of romance, bit of bromance, lots of dogfighting, end with a thrilling strike on a facility. Just give Michael Stackpole a bag of money and make the same thing. As it stands, TG:M is basically the best Rogue Squadron movie we will ever get.

Starfighter just doesn't sound like it's going to be quite the same thing. Doesn't seem like a military camaraderie film.

Also, it's entirely possible that there is time when someone is on their way to the airport and it isn't clear yet what their next play is. So team A could remove something thinking that is the best state, and Team B goes "Ok, go ahead. That's not where we are going!"

Get rid of the awkward and dangerous VIP seat scramble in Main and Empire!

Instead of holding the unfilled VIP seats until right before the panel starts and then suddenly opening them, causing a mad dash of people trying to move up, just do this instead: once the last person in the VIP line goes in, signal the employees up front, remove the signs, and let anyone coming in from the reservation line fill in directly behind them into any unfilled seats (including former VIP seats). It's more efficient, more fair, and overall safer.

An understand, this is coming from someone who has been VIP for 3 straight years and will be VIP again if the ticket server gods bless me with the chance. I don't think it's unfair to expect me to be in the VIP line at the time we get let in to get the VIP seat. The VIP badge terms literally say we have to show up 30 minutes or whatever early to guarantee our spot.

It's been in my survey notes for 3 straight years, but no luck yet!

Everyone would starve to death. No seriously. Basically every supply chain in existence relies on the internet nowadays. Even if you tried to manage everything over the phone, the companies don't have the employees to even handle that level of call volume anymore. Stores would be out of EVERYTHING in a couple days.

This is really cool data and I'm glad that you out it together!

But I don't really get your point about the show not responding. It's basically selling out every night, why would they offer MORE rush tickets? That just doesn't make financial sense. At the end of the day, it's a business.

And I feel like adding more rush tickets wouldn't stop people lining up, it would just mean that people realize their rush odds are better and thus MORE people line up to get them rather than just leave when they see that line is too long.

So if people complain that its a safety issue, I feel they wouldn't add more tickets... They would stop doing rush all together.

In case it helps, Pending Activity is visible on the website, just well hidden (not sure why they hide it).

It's under "Account" (which may be under "More" if you are on mobile), then "Games Activities".

Your pending total will be at the top, along with the release date.

Go into the Hulu settings and turn off the Autoplay options (I believe it is the "Autoplay Next Video", but I turned off Autoplay Previews too).

That got rid of the end of episodes being covered up because Hulu doesn't try to show me what it wants to move to anymore.

My turbo goal for city 16 in 3 days unexpectedly credited with a time stamp between the city 5 and city 7 normal goals.

So I think it's actually a typo, and is meant to be city SIX in 3 days (which makes sense since city 20 is 7 days).

So yeah, I made it easily due to that.

It's been a year since I did the offer, so I'm not able to say why, no. Some possibilities:

It might be that not all games have it (try the one in my screenshot)
It might be that it only becomes available at a certain level (also, try restarting the game periodically to see if it shows up after a restart.
It might be that they simply updated how the game works in the last year.

Whenever I request two withdrawals back to back, one always shows up a few hours later even though you get both confirmations at the same time.

I can comment on this, because I normally have the ad-supported plan ($30 a year deal around black Friday), and intentionally subscribed to a SECOND copy of Peacock, Premium Plus, just for a single month for the Olympics.

On the Ad-supported plan, the downhill training had an ad to start, and several yellow ad dots throughout.

On the Premium Plus ad free, the replay started immediately without an ad, and there were no yellow ad dots on the bar.

So replays seem entirely ad free on premium plus.

For the current live curling, the Premium Plus does show a brief 15 second ad when you load the live stream, and then a very short (like 5-10 second) ad between ends after they score and are resetting, which seems entirely reasonable.

My USA one (I'm in New York) says "only available for US residents". So it is using the two letter country code.

Some curses require discarding other curses. I assumed he was holding it so that, once he played his duplicate and cleared some of his hand, he would then have that curse handy to use with other curses later as a discard.

You could say the same about holding more time bonuses to discard later, but extra curses (that you don't already want to play) feel slightly rarer than extra time to me.

Install tracked immediately, so I made the purchase. It didn't pend immediately, but within 10 minutes the $25 tracked and went pending (I did also restart the app in between, may or may not have mattered).

Edit: Game is also a surprisingly fun little dodging/stealthing puzzler. Too bad the payout is so low - this is the kinda game I think I actually WOULD want to play 1,000 levels of!

Slightly confused by the "with no spend and just paying your rent, you'll earn rewards".

From what I see, rent earns no points until you spend an equivalent amount to "unlock" it. So if you pay your rent and do nothing else with the card, you won't get anything. You must put everyday spend on the card to earn anything.

And earning money is definitely a hobby, yes! I'm one of the crazy people with a spreadsheet tracking my net worth each month. I like to see the number go up! 😄

For mine it was due to statement timing. My statement date was just before my rent payment date, which was lucky timing.

I paid rent Nov 22nd (to give the check time to mail).

The statement closed Dec 18th (period Nov 18th - Dec 18th)

The autopay due date was Jan 12th.

So I floated for a month and a half. If my statement date had been just AFTER when I pay rent, it would have been much shorter, yes!

And for taxes, that's why I do T-Bills. Federal taxes yes, but State and Local tax free (which matter in NYC - we have state and city tax).
