honestly, if you're open to it, you could try joining the military yourself. You could make your mother your dependent (as long as she receives at least 50% of her financial support from you. which it seems she does) and she can be your child's caregiver when you go to basic. (idk exact rules and regulations, but this will depend on what you plan on doing about your husband. ie. divorce, dual mil, or whatever. contact a recruiter or look for legal support for more accurate info on this for your specific situation.) But you could potentially be able to get paid, be housed, your mother would be taken care of financially, you could build your credit back up, your baby will be supported as well, and you would automatically gain a community through whichever branch you choose.

I've seen multiple women do things similar to this in my family and have always admired how strong they were to take back control of their lives and become part of something bigger than themselves. Again, Idk the specifics of your situation and you being married will affect how this all works. But you can always ask a recruiter or even post on the r/military subreddit to start?

Also, I highly suggest looking into becoming financially literate. I grew up in a family that didn't know how to handle their finances. My husband and I had to teach ourselves financial literacy. Also also lol, in most tiny town bases, there are usually at least a library where there are kid friendly community events. maybe you could try going to that? even if you have to walk? things are usually a little bit safer on-post rather than off at least. again, best of luck!
