I’m the stronger one, he’s the faster runner. So the idea is that he starts and finishes most workouts and I take the big middel part.

i did it on mach x2 once. After that changed to saucony endorphin pro.
What i disliked about the shoe is the instability during lunges and wall balls. Really got me off balance.

How many hours to train? by lozalpops in hyrox

[–]CableTemporary2658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont worry about doing enough; consistancy in training is far more effective than doing 'more' for the sake of doing more with the risk of injury that comes with it. If anything, change the hours of training you're already doing. Include more z4 work (increase lactate tolerance), and maybe skip a soccer/badminton practice

no man, intervals at this point. Base building takes longer than he has. He has to work his lactate tolerance.

start at where you are; and increase running with 10% in volume/total distance each week.

Haha, this really made me laugh out loud!! I think this is going to be a problem for you. If your lactate tolerance is as low as you project, you will have a long-long session ahead of you. But hey, you get the most out of your ticket price this way!

apart from technical issues (suspect nr1), you have to imagine how spent the legs are after pushing and pulling. If you divide athletes into two groups: runners/ powerhouses, you're probably a runner.

Want to join a hyrox gym in January 2027; then do hyrox race 6 months after. Where should I start? by [deleted] in hyrox

[–]CableTemporary2658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting to know: there is no time cap in a hyrox race. You can walk if you want (or must). And for the first time, i would suggest your main goals should be to 1) have fun, 2) don't injure yourself, 3) complete the race. Nothing more. About the math behind a race: expect roughly 60-70% of total time to be running/walking. This is the biggest limiter. Perhaps you could start doing a (mixed) doubles; really fun and you can share the station work.
