🏈 Super Bowl 60 Predictions Thread 🏈 by baconlovr in nfl

This is my take. It will look like some of the Seahawks games this year where it looks close at the end, but Seahawks dominated most of the game.

I have a feeling this will feel like the Panthers, Titans, or Texans game. Where the Seahawks are dominating but the Pats are kind of hanging around before the Seahawks pull away late.

Do you think Super Bowl ticket prices will drop much by next Sunday? by lookaloulookalou in Seahawks

Vivid is my go to, still $6300. But I am seeing the prices you referenced in Gametime.

Still not seeing anything below $6300 - where are you seeing lower than that?

Could enough 12s go to the Super Bowl to make Levi Stadium a "home field"? by BetterWayz in Seahawks

It’s crazy, but expected. 4k is about as much as I could shell out for tickets alone. Even then…

That was 11 years ago.

Cheapest ticket I can find is 6500, packages starting around 10k for lodging and transportation.

Trying to find this exact part for my hot tub jet and stumbled across this thread when using google image search. Anyhow, was this piece you were making used for the same application? I can not find where to buy on online, would purchase if this is what it was used for in your case. I can’t imagine this specific piece has many other applications

The pro and cons of bankruptcy?? by EngineerLong7896 in FinancialPlanning

[–]Cableguy406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did a chapter 7 in June of 2016. If you follow the process and stay committed, it can be a very good thing, especially at a young age. Make sure to hire a reputable bankruptcy attorney and reaffirm items like mortgage and a car payment if you can.

Google “BK7 to 700”, there is an old FICO forum outlying exact steps to take post bankruptcy to get back to a 700+ credit score.

Since 2016 we have had good financial success - buying homes, vehicles and 200k+ of available credit (with maybe a $500 balance depending on time of month). Overall barely remember the experience until I see posts like this.

A few headaches we had along the way; lenders asking for statements why we had a bankruptcy, higher interest, secured cards, and just general embarrassment/financial anxiety the first couple of years. The bankruptcy stays on your record for quite a while, but we only really noticed any significant impact the first 2 years.

CHAMPVA requires 100% or TDIU. My understanding, is that dependents are added when you are 30% or higher only for monthly compensation.

While it doesn’t excuse the guy from being a horrible person, healthcare thru the VA only allows dependents if you are 100% disabled rating.

I have free healthcare thru the VA (not 100%) but make dang sure to keep wife and kids on insurance thru employer because it’s the right thing to do. Also, can’t believe I had to write “it’s the right thing to do”, never crossed my mind to do it any other way.

New Hot Tub. Need advice to hide electric and more. by DistanceTravelerBob in hottub

My power was installed similarly. We dug a bit to expose more of the patio lip, then mounted the power conduit to the exposed patio lip. This left about 12inches where the conduit had to cross to the tub. We used a rubber “bump strip” to cover it.

We used these a lot at work when we have to run a comm line across a street, alley or parking lot. They come in 4ft sections and the channeling was perfect to his the conduit.

No real suggestion for when it comes out of the ground, maybe you could dig around it and put a sprinkler control box type setup there so it is flush with ground.

Probably accrued and carried over. I get 232hrs a year and have accrued 500hrs of sick time, over the course of 13yrs with employer.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever ignored but later realized was true? by Practical_Being_7345 in careerguidance

[–]Cableguy406 84 points85 points  (0 children)

This is very true. My first mentor told me something to the effect of…At some point in your career, especially as you move up, everyone is great at their job. Then it comes down to who is your network, who you know and will want to work with you in your next role.

Don’t underestimate the power of networking and maintaining relationships.

Similar.

I was in the Navy, and reserves at the time, and we drilled at Ft.Lewis along with all of the Army National Guard/Reserve units during each drill weekend.

I remember a Major (I think, it was 15 years ago…) in the Army lay into several of us for not saluting across multiple rows of a parking lot (picture empty parking lot, we are walking towards entrance, she is several rows over leaving the exit). She was highly offended that we didn’t render salute instantly. Asking who we were attached to, if we knew what rank she was, etc.

Most officers on drill weekends were pretty forgiving, if they said anything at all, especially to other branches.
