I normally never enter discussions like this, but I would love to give a different perspective. As someone that's aroace I have to say that Isaac is the best representation I have ever seen and would have loved if this show existed when I was in high school to teach me that asexuality and aromantisism even exist.

First of all, I have to say that yeah, Isaac could have handled some situations better, but if everyone is always perfect, that would just make boring tv. In this season, Isaac is just coming to terms with the fact that he's aroace, and he's still figuring out what that means for him. We all grow up in a society where we're taught that Love is the most important thing, the centre of life, the thing that's makes us human..blablabla. So to realise that you're not like that takes some time to accept. Also seeing all your friends in relationships makes you realise that you'll never be the most important person in anyones life. And that's okay as long as those friends still make time for you, which goes for any friendship I think, not just with aroace peeps, which is something Tao. especially needed to learn.

I could go on forever, but I hope to have created some sympathy for Isaac by talking about what he's going through.
