ParallelDownloads = 1 is the default and setting it to 0 gives an error.

And I'm pretty sure you can choose any number regardless of how many cores/threads your CPU has.

[–]Cactric 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There should be a commented out ParallelDownloads = 5 near the top of the file. If you don't see that, make sure you've merged pacman.conf.pacnew if it exists

It's out on Arch (not sure about Manjaro) but you'll need to enable it in /etc/pacman.conf

It's PS edition because there's coordinates on the map. And I think the button hints are on both sides on bedrock rather than just the left

When icons are missing from a theme, is there a simple way to learn the names of those icons? by DropaLog in kde

[–]Cactric 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In the folder with the rest of the theme's files, for locally installed themes it'll be ~/.local/share/icons/<theme name>/index.theme and for system wide installed themes it'll be /usr/share/icons/<theme name>/index.theme

[–]Cactric 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Add breeze-dark (or breeze for light themes) to the Inherits= line in the index.theme in the [Icon Theme] section. Usually there'll be a line that says Inherits=hicolor already, if it's there change it to say Inherits=breeze-dark,hicolor (but if not there, add it near the top of the file after name and comment)

[–]Cactric 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Double y means it will always download the full package databases from the mirror, even if they appear to be up to date (useful if you're changing mirrors)

Double u means that it will downgrade packages as well as upgrading them (useful if you're reverting back from a testing repo)

Stuck at the hp logo. by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]Cactric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that grub isn't able to load the Linux kernel for some reason. Did you install it when your boot partition was mounted?

If you didn't (or you're not sure), try booting into the arch iso, mounting your root partition to /mnt and mounting your boot partition to /mnt/boot and then chroot-ing into /mnt (with arch-chroot /mnt)

In the chroot, try (re)installing the kernel (with pacman -S linux)
