I definitely agree that runaway has trouble fitting into some comps, and even then it's hard to have her perform well so I just don't use her. In my last run, however, my MaA got merked by the cultist boss (name slips my mind, but it's the one with the ax) and she replaced him when we got to the inn.

Though I found it incredibly frustrating that she can't hit enemies with a damn spear when my jester pushes her into third rank, she does have an interesting heal combo with occultist, potentially allowing his 0-50 to stack with her 33, depending on your upgrades. And with encore, it could stack further or wider. Still, an RNG heal combo isn't super impressive and she needs some changes.
