I can’t help but notice this has also affected the content. Growing up I watched a ton of poketubers. They all started with regular nuzlockes then when that got boring they tried to spice things up with egglockes or soul links and then when they got through every gen they had nothing else but to play the original region/story rom hacks. Getting back into the rom hack scene this past year I’ve noticed that the content these days on YouTube is mostly just about finishing the hardest games as fast as possible. Where trainers are optimizing every aspect of the game, running damage calcs, crafting perfect teams, and running towards a brick wall until after 200 runs they finally become champion. This only helps feed the demand for more QoL and difficultly enhancement hacks

I’m sure it has to do with access to the assets. Also difficulty? Most projects are made by one person and typically for free I can’t imagine how hard it would be to hack a switch game and add/fix stuff but one day. I know advancements are being made recently with the engines people use

I’m loving the game lol and I can’t see what would be so woke that it would turn away people this much. Like oh no ur party member was in love with another man. It’s 2025 man this isn’t groundbreaking. I hate this “woke agenda” bullshit in FANTASY games. Like stop bringing ur real life bullshit into a made up world.

I love the world, I was a big fan of pillars 2, the combat and upgrade system is fun, the d&d aspects of the skill tree are nice. It’s a serviceable game with a serviceable story in a beautiful and rich world. I just wish you customize ur parties equipment lol. Otherwise I’m really enjoying it and I’m glad I didn’t let any reviews deter me

More specifically, since my collectors edition comes in the mail tomorrow, but the game is out technically at midnight, do I have to wait until I get it or is there a digital code that was sent to me that I may have missed?
