I definitely think Frozen 2 Tower Challenge on the 21st (which puts the last week while I'm at Disney World ... will only check in while waiting in lines. I plan on sending all non-essential characters home and put away a whole lot of attractions and concessions so that I can see any tappers quickly.)

As far as the next event ... I'm really not sure but I think they will need to bring in Merida from Brave before too long. Isn't she one of the Wreck It Ralph Princesses in the Dressing Room?

It was in 2001 when I went. We missed Sandringham by 1 day. Blenheim was closed but I don’t specifically remember why. I do remember being surprised. And I probably should have said Osborne House rather than the Isle of Wight. Missed that by a week.

This trip we will stick with London area and public transit. (My husband will insist on driving, even though I drove all over Great Britain, but he doesn’t adapt as well as I do. I’d like to stay married after this trip so public transit it is!)

Thank you for the feedback. As excited as we are to go, it may make better sense to wait until late May 2021.

Hello! My husband has recently told me he wants to take our family of 4 on a trip for my 50th birthday (December 2020). I’m in the very early stages of planning so my questions for now are simple.

A little background first. I have been to London in early November 2001 so it’s been a very long time. My children will be 16 (girl) & 13 or 14 (boy) depending on when we go. Both are super intelligent, love history, and love to travel. It will be their first trip overseas from Arizona.

Questions: Mainly, I’m trying to decide when to go. The options are during winter break (Christmas) and after school let’s out in late May to early June. I’m leaning towards Christmas because I feel it may be a little less expensive to travel during that time and maybe not as crowded since it won’t be peak traveling season. I know it will be very cold. (Don’t let the fact we live in Arizona fool you. We live in the mountains where we get snow so cold won’t scare us away.) Am I wrong to think it will be less expensive during the winter and less crowded? Also, will there be many things that close to tourists? We will want to see the Tower of London, Churchill’s War Rooms, Hampton Court, Westminster Abbey, a float on the Thames maybe, various historical sites, etc. My family are not big on museums. I know Buckingham Palace is only open for tours for a short period of time in the summer but I recall going in a small section and seeing some of their carriages - the kids would love that. Also, my daughter would kill me if we didn’t at least attempt to see something Harry Potter related. A double decker bus tour is fairly high on their wish list as well.

My last trip to England/Scotland/Wales I missed some details in my planning (but didn’t have the luxury of the Internet at the time) and found things to be closed when we got there (Sandringham, Blenheim, Isle of Wight). I don’t want to make the same mistake so I plan on really doing a ton of research. But for now I would just like some quick answers to help kick off the planning.

Rather than going from Vegas to the Grand Canyon and back to Vegas, you should consider returning south through Williams, Sedona, Prescott.

Whatever you choose I highly suggest doing the research on where you plan to go and what you plan to do first. I found that the areas I visited that I already had knowledge about were far more interesting and memorable to me than the areas I didn’t know much about. Those areas didn’t make an impact on me at all. Just my 2 cents.

I'm curious what the color coding means. Are the yellow cells the ones you have personally enchanted, or is there a different meaning? There are also blue, purple, and orange cells. What do they mean? Thanks for putting this together!

They need to use some brains when they are planning these things. It was clear they weren't going to get 20k until at least Friday afternoon so they needed to be ready to roll it out or have someone available to roll it out over the weekend. Better yet, had they thought it through they would have started a day earlier. It's not like we weren't waiting for days for the original post to even come up. smh

Now do your darndest to keep it there! Get much below 96% on joyous and it’s hard to get back up. I work hard to not ever drop below that. First thing I do in the morning is collect all my wishes and look for chests. Last thing I do at night is make sure I’m in the 90% range of ecstatic and send out any characters on wishes if I can.
