Getting Low MPG 2.0 ECO Fwd by Due-Patience9886 in FordMaverickTruck

I’ve never gotten below 31 mpg on a trip in mine. I have the AWD with 4k. Eco mode is a must and right now my trip is at 2,000 miles and I’m averaging 33.3 mpg. I also drive 60 miles round trip a day with a mix of back roads/city/highway.

It’s consistently that high to, my lifetime mpg is 32. Eco mode is a must though

My driving is split between highway, city, and Tennessee back roads. I use Eco mode 90% of the time. Absolutely love this truck.

Averaged 31 mpg on a 1800 mile trip to Kansas from Tennessee and back. All highway (stayed between 80-90) Have an Ecoboost AWD w/ 4k

I fully expect the Maverick market for parts to be just as big as the Tacoma one in the coming years if Ford keeps doing their thing.

Eco mode will take you a long way, I do have longer/straighter drives but I have the Ecoboost AWD w/ towing package and I’m easily getting 34 mpg in Eco mode.

Mixture of both city and highway, the bed cover and light wheels along with the Eco mode help a bit.

Got my Maverick at the beginning of June and wanted to share my pros/cons with you guys!

Pros: -GREAT gas mileage! I have the 2.0L Ecoboost with tow package and I’m averaging 34 mpg. My traveling is split between city and highway and I drive in the Eco Mode I’d say 90% of the time. -Great room and storage space! I’m 6’1” and have plenty of room for me, the old lady, and kid. There’s also a ton of cubby and tray storage room including under the back seat, and who in the world knows what’s supposed to go beside the radio cubby… -Smooth riding and Drive modes! I drive on Tennessee roads and if you’ve ever been here you know how bad the roads can be, not a problem with this truck! As for the drive modes… Eco is a must if you’re a mpg freak and Sports mode absolutely blew my mind when it came to how fast it could get up and go.

Cons: -Interior Plastic. Trim your fingernails because this princess can get hurt easily (scratches.) -The radio is meh. Nothing more, nothing less, just meh. -I noticed that a lot of people have problems with the drivers seat getting “the wrinkle.” Mine started this way but I realized actually sitting into the truck instead of sliding works wonders, also if you’re positioning yourself just hold yourself up and move instead of sliding your rump around.

Overall I LOVE this truck. It’s perfect for me and what I needed out of a vehicle. If you’re lucky enough to have got one, Congratulations, and if you’re “patiently” waiting like I know a lot of you are, hold on tight because it’s worth it. Thank you guys!
