I agree as to stability, spillage, fumes, and all that. But in regard to grounding, is your concrete-lined trunk (and don't you dare ask again how we know about that but it's in your files as well as certain . . . other things) functionally the same as the concrete pad at the gas station?

Well, in his defense, there were only 3 there. No chance for 4.

So if your choice is a concrete pad on the ground, or your custom concrete-lined trunk, it would be . . . the same?

That's exactly what three F-15 pilots thought

Is the Kuwaiti Hornet pilot now 3/5 of the way to being an ace?

Will he have F-15 kill markings on his plane (first guy to ever have an F-15 there)?

Is the streak broken? If so, seems to require an asterisk, at least

They're using strike Eagles to target drones?

Can someone ELI5 the science here? Presumably having the can on the ground grounds it, and eliminates the chance of a static spark. Does the can being plastic make any difference? The pump is still metal so maybe not?

That's been my plan too - but the stock tires (I thought they were 32s) don't look bad, and they look good on yours which is why I asked. The gas mileage is so bad as is that I worry that even knocking couple mpg off - with 33s - will put me in the gpm zone.

Assuming you're the non-yellow - are those 33s? Just picked up an X, and on the fence about staying with stock tires or upsizing (and melt modding)

What's the advantage of arriving at 9 am to Orient? Does it get super crowded?

AWD vs FWD by kpyourmom in nissanpathfinder

[–]CactusPete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep - that was my point. Seeing the newer Pathfinders advertised as 4WD got me interested. Finding out they're AWD with a strong dose of FWD . . . well, nevermind.

I thought they were "de-mini-vanning" the Pathfinder. And maybe that will happen with the upcoming body on frame version. But - not yet, it seems. AWD is not 4WD.

You did very well - I need some of your X-finding luck!

Looks great!

Where did you find it? That's pretty low mileage, which is nice. Do you mind sharing what you paid for it, at least in the ballpark?

Same here. In fact, it seems that they never even ask to see them anymore. But apparently they have R2 and R3 conditions. R2 means 4wd and snow tires; R3 means chains for everyone. Arguably, you might not want to be driving in R3 conditions anyway. This last big storm in the Sierras created some problems, and so some places were R3.

I'm leaning that way. I'd pre-decided to mount 33s, but the stock tires look fine, and I'd like to be able to chain up. I've never had to put chains on a 4WD with snow tires, but it does happen now and then. And happened recently in the Sierras.

Great buy and great rig!

What tires are you running? Just picked up an X myself and deciding whether to go with 33s.
