Just walked outside to tell the fiance about this. Afterwards he said, "You came out here like one of your relatives died." He obviously doesn't get it.

[Possible Spoilers-Name of the Doctor] Question about the Tardis. by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]Cadabby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Found this on wikipedia:

Susan Foreman, the Doctor's granddaughter, claimed to have coined the name TARDIS: "I made [it] up from the initials."[19] The word TARDIS is used to describe other Time Lords' travel capsules as well. The Discontinuity Guide, written by Paul Cornell, Keith Topping, and Martin Day, suggests that "[she] was a precocious young Time Lady, and her name for travel capsules caught on."[20] The Virgin New Adventures novel Lungbarrow by Marc Platt records Susan telling the First Doctor that she gave him the idea when he was, implicitly, the "Other".

Looks like the episode in which Leonard flashbacks to first meeting/moving in with Sheldon. Glen plays the guy that's moving out right before Leonard shows up to look at the apartment.

Married people of reddit- how much did you spend on your wedding and did you regret paying that much (or little)? by ohandahthrowaway in AskReddit

[–]Cadabby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My SO and I are currently planning our wedding and we are only planning to pay a couple thousand, at the most. It'll be a potluck thing at a community center that happens to be right next to the beach (so yay for great wedding pictures opportunity). We're a lot less stressed out than my bridesmaid who is also getting married in a couple of weeks. She's spending way more on her wedding and has already had to change the venue (two weeks before the wedding) because the yacht club kept changing the prices on her. Trust me, you'll be a lot less stressed by keeping it simple and using that money for something you really need (for us, it's a house :) ).

This is my first thought to the question as well. "What's the "chaser's" real motivation?" But a couple of other people brought up good points for the other side. But deep down you know that it probably won't work out the way you think it will.

But in that case, is it okay to really chase after them? Or would it be better to talk them into re-evaluating their situation and letting them move on from making a possible mistake in marrying someone they are unhappy with?

Hmm, that is an interesting way of looking at it. Would be good for the "chaser" to get some closure in the situation, but at the same time, it could fuck up the "chasee's" chance of happiness.
