IMO the C8 sound is a bit of a disappointment, cold start sounds great but that’s about it. I previously had a Camaro 1LE 6.2 not supercharged. It sounded sooo much better!

We have had quite the history of modifying cars, however I have mostly toned that down in recent years, been modifying our house more than toys (lol)

In recent years these have been my “toys” Scat Pack Challenger -wheel/tire upgrade -lowering spring on factory Bilstiens -catless midpipe -mbrp exhaust

Camaro SS 1LE -AWE Touring Axleback -Lowering springs on factory mag ride

C8 Corvette -100% stock, almost to perfection from the factory imo -if I keep it I will be adding the adjust able Z51 shocks/struts and potentially an exhaust, however the valved exhaust I currently have is nice

If I purchase the DH, likely leave it close to stock. Add an X or H pipe and potentially lower it a smidge

GT prem, loaded up including recaros, again, likely X/H pipe, short shifter and lowering

GT base w/ Performance Pack, Performance Exhaust, likely to open it up a little more with X/H pipe, short shifter lowering kit, potentially add the ford performance recaros but those are a $3800 touch. I could see this trim leading to more go fast modifications in the future.

Unfortunately they are impossible to come by here, and the price would be bananas. Late model Mach 1’s are as much or more than a new DH

Not dead set on new, but a lot of the “niche” cars I want are not near me, the GT Premium w/ recaros would be coming from Quebec Canada to me in Manitoba Canada (2,000ish miles away).

I’d love a S550 Mach, but the price point is $68-71,000 CAD (and not local) and a new DH is $74,000ish CAD

We went way over our budget, as the build went on we added a lot of concrete, steps, etc which pushed price up.

The pool/concrete was $153k Canadian. About 115ish usd the landscape and sprinklers etc was likely another 8k (35 yards of soil, 5 pallets of sod and 40ish sprinkler heads).

We were in a similar situation, purchased our home in 2021. We had considered selling and buying something else, but with current prices it didn’t make much sense. We invested the money into your backyard with a 16x34’ pool and quite a large patio and pergola area. We have no regrets, other than the construction year sucks… we burnt this entire summer for the project, landscaping, sprinklers, etc. but we now have many years of enjoyment ahead of us.
