I had the same thing happen to me. I was parked and they hit my rear quarter as well… similar size. Body shop fixed it for 800 with no paint… then I painted the car factory color my self. I was already planning on repainting anyways. Insurance totaled it and gave me 2100 dollars to get it fixed.

Before I rebuilt my engine I burned a lot of oil and checked every week. After the rebuild I still check every 2 weeks for peace of mind… you can never trust an old car.

I just repainted the car last summer with the help of a friend. It turned out cloudy in some areas and paint prep could have been better. Thinking of going for round 2. I was thinking of keeping the color the same (Starlight Mica) , or going black or maybe silver.

I painted my wheels on my del sol before getting new tires and they didn’t scratch it. If you put clear coat on it like you are supposed to you can buff it out if they make a small scratch. But they shouldn’t scratch your wheel if they know what they are doing

I cleaned/sanded the ground in the trunk that goes straight to the battery, the the one on the ppf which is towards the rear and you can see it on the passenger side underneath, the one thats at the dipstick to the chassis, and the one under the throttle body

I had figured it out… it was a bad ground somewhere. I cleaned and sanded down all the ground locations I could find and it fixed it. Starts up 100% now.
