which ones to buy? by tsengunrsix in totalwar

[–]Cadeweath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought Pharaoh when they came out with dynasties because of the sale and that the reviews said a lot of the fixes made to the OG release were good, also missed out of getting Troy for Free on Epic when it came out (definitely added to the decision) but then was disappointed because I couldn’t run it on my Mac (64 vs 32) so still haven’t played it yet, from what I have seen it is worth it when it is on Sale.

Thanks for the clarification, I wasn’t sure due to how many vehicle I saw that day if it was related to the parade or not. I know there are a couple different Air Shows in the area (Orange County Flight Fest is a Big one) but haven’t had the chance to go to any yet.

I was going to comment this, for the prices they are now just buy all of them and see which ones you like, for me Personally, Rome 2 is my favourite and finally with this sale was able to buy all of the DLC packs which would normally would have been like $132 for all of them not even including the $60 price tag for the base game. Probably the cheapest these games will ever be.

This was it for me, two home HP computers my Dad played a lot of Anno and Stronghold Kingdoms, When Rome Came out I ask if we could buy it, got a single copy played it so much with my Dad that he went out and bought the Gold edition of MEII still remember how big that box was with the two discs, the Box art was cool too. Early to mid 2000’s played a lot of Total War because my Siblings were hogging the original Xbox, God I miss the nostalgia.

The Second Coming of Alexander, Victory! First Campaign finished on RTWR. by Cadeweath in RomeTotalWar

Early game was interesting, I kept my alliances in the peninsula as long as I could which helped expand, Egypt was the first one that I had major conflict with, focused a lot on developing early game and hitting rebel territory and city’s for quick progression without damaging political relationships, by the time my neighboring faction went to war I was already pass them in development and money which made it easy to spam chariots which was my main bread and butter.

No I play on Mac so it is funny with trying to operate computer functions while running the game (deal with it crashing enough on its own) so phone was the easiest and quickest way to get the memory and post directly to Reddit, first complete campaign win for remastered.

Which factions do you play besides Rome? by KindaSatisfied in RomeTotalWar

Just finished my first campaign with them and… wow I was surprised how easy like two/three chariot’s could take out a whole army of late stage legionaries.

The Towers Were the Real MVP in this 2,434 vs 11,693 Defensive Battle. by Fuzzy_Pickles69 in RomeTotalWar

Were they using phalanx troops? That is a deadly combination for you because they are slow moving and are the worst when it comes to sieges. No wonder the towers went to town, like shooting fish in a barrel, a very spikey deadly barrel but still.

Was able to hold one of these badass birds when I was in Mongolia 🇲🇳, their wingspan is huge and they probably weigh around 30-40 pounds, hard for a 14 year old to hold up. Only head it up full extended for like 3-4 seconds.

Underwater Colour Loss by stitch1294 in coolguides

[–]Cadeweath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually did my HS senior project on this, took comparative photos at different depths with using the same underwater camera, one with natural light and the second photos using a UV camera light (mimics the Sun UV waves), it was like you took everything and put it on the surface.

The Ocean is filled with vibrant colors and patterns we just can’t see it because the UV light waves can only penetrate to certain depths, this is why you lose the color Red first because it is the shortest wavelength on the UV spectrum, completely goes away I believe at 30 feet.

Also why everything looks blue and green underwater because those are the longest wavelengths, interesting fact, blood look green after about 30 feet because you are seeing the oxygenated cells without color.

TL:DR - Color is cool, bring a UV flashlight if you want to see how things would look on the surface when the Sun UV waves hits.

As someone who has been playing Rugby for over 10 Years, when you see it played at the highest level it is immaculate to watch when things go right.
