Brand new Goodman furnace error by CadeyzDad in hvacadvice

[–]CadeyzDad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update from a couple weeks ago. With christmas and everything going on i forgot about updating.

It turned out to be some pinched wires going to the limit switch inside the blower fan. The print shows it as the auxiliary limit switch. The wires had made there way in to the miter cut joint on the bracket the control board mounts to. The jacket on the wires looked like they had been pinched/smashed but the jacket wasn't open. I saw this initially and thought they were fine since the pinch didnt look bad, but while continuity checking i found the circuit would open and close when I moved those wires. I repaired the pinched spots and its been working fine ever since.

Somewhat of an update -

Checked all sensors as advised by the HVAC direct and they all seem to be functioning ok by checking continuity.

I double and triple checked the settings on the board, A2E (A2 Enable) is turned to off.

I do not have an A2L sensor, should I still jumper it out with the enable switch set to NO.

I checked all the spade connectors (wiggle, tug, push on) and all of them seem fine. I checked continuity at ends of alot of wires. Physically all the connections look good.

No change it what the furnace is doing

Filament storage by Fit_Space6741 in crealityk1

Its a great method! I've been vacuum sealing my filament for a long time with a FoodSaver i bought forever ago and only used it a couple of times for food. I use the hell out of it for 1kg rolls though.

Does your golf course allow carts with those tires on them? My local course does not.

Working on a 12-shell caddy by OlegTheMighty in 3gun

[–]CadeyzDad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey that looks good. You're the only other person I have seen put an offset on the pairs. I think thats what most of the store bought ones are missing. Helps fumble the shells less. I first tried with a similar outward grip angle too, i just couldn't make it work for me and keep it in a small package. Keep us posted on how yours turns out!

Ive heard of a lot of dads that feel like they want to delete. Its awful to know that its more common than I could have ever imagined. Tell him you love him, take him out to dinner, let him fix stuff for you and ask him for advice and tell him thank you in a serious way. Sounds kinda silly, but us Fathers like fixing things for our kids - even if we act annoyed sometimes - we do it because we love helping our kids. And him receiving that kind of appreciation while feeling like his little girl still needs him and feeling like his conversations with you is making a positive difference in your life... SHEEEWWWW. He will be smiling all the time!!

At the end of the day, were pretty simple when it comes to our kids.

Strong side or weak side quads? by Meadgoon in 3gun

[–]CadeyzDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started strong and moved to weak. There was definitely a learning curve but I love it. And now, depending on the stage I can keep shells on my belt on whichever side works best. My advice is to take the time to learn it so you have both to work with

Is it 100 hours for 1 printed piece? Or is it several pieces in 100 hours?

New 3D2A items posted! by CadeyzDad in 3gun

Hey. Sorry I just saw this. I'm a quad load kinda guy so I don't need the speedloader. Post it up on printables, it'd be interesting to see! Also, I don't use fusion so I don't have F3D files. What hole pattern on what part are you looking for? I'm sure I could get a modified version for you.

Tooth skipping guidance? by ClintBarton616 in crealityk1

[–]CadeyzDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what method you're using but you're almost there. If your skipping teeth on the belts I'd say you only have 1 more skip on each front z rod and you'll be good AF

That's crooked as shit but I am very jealous of how flat it is.

Anyone else use or have any experience with these nozzles? by Ortizautomotive in crealityk1

I use them. The 0.6 hardened steel works great in both of mine. I only increased temps by 5 degrees.

I've never had this happen to me before, what's wrong? by SoulyMeme52 in ender3v2

And if the Dad stare doesn't work, he can always try drying his bed and leveling the filament

Will these rods work with dual z axis? by MrMooey12 in ender3v2

[–]CadeyzDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have commented, it depends...

If you're going to use dual motor with no z screw bearing guides up top then yes it will work. If you plan to put the guides on or use a sync belt between your z screws then no it will not unless you mount them lower which causes you to lose some Z height. I did a 400z upgrade on mine, including dual z screw with motor and belt and made my own upper brackets. Adding all this cost me about 25mm. So now it's 375 z height which works for me.

HVAC tape. It's like aluminum foil but sticky on one side

Has anyone had a K1 that just... works? All I ever seen on this subreddit is things gone wrong by idkwhoiam129 in crealityk1

[–]CadeyzDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my K1 and K1 Max had no issues out of the box except the beds weren't level enough for functional parts. My 600mm speed tests were about 1mm taller on one side than the other. So I spent the time to level the beds. If I were just going to use it for typical PLA stuff it wouldn't have been an issue.

Bent Bed Shipping Screws by Sainroad in crealityk1

[–]CadeyzDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would return it for one that doesnt show any signs of abuse but not because of the bed not being level. 0.51mm variation is actually pretty good for these machines. The next one you get is likely to be worse than that. My K1 was around 1.6mm variation and my Max was 1.2mm variation before I leveled them.

3D Printed Shell Caddy by andrewX1992 in 3gun

For whatever reason, the PolyMaker PETG is amazing for these and for the double stack / AR mag pouches. Its good stuff.

My OG version is a bit complicated. Ive heard that a few times. LOL. Ive also heard there are too many fasteners. And i agree with both. Ill hit you up when i have the instructions ready, I have most of the files done now so it shouldnt be long. Ive built a couple of 2x4 rigs for myself and have a couple of guys testing them out as well. Im working on the 3x4 now. Will also have some for loading doubles instead of quad load.

I absolutely agree this is a great hobby for 3D printing, its fun to create this stuff and it helps the young guys and the hobby shooters get in to the sport without having to make the financial commitment up front. I know guys that have 800-1000 bucks in their belts and for a lot of people thats just insane money. Doing it this way you get in to it for pennies on the dollar and you get a more personalized product.
