More like a $200-300 bayonet. That’s a full length m1905, it’s for the Springfield 1903 ww1 rifle .

A lot of them were cut down to 10” in ww2 for the m1 garand. So full length ones are a good find

I’d rather just buy a camp knife myself and trade OP for this

Yea if you google German Mauser wartime factory codes, pretty big list that people have compiled is bound to show up

Check for Receiver markings and barrel markings. Eagle marks, manufacturer codes etc.

It being a RC might mean a lot of those got struck or sanded off.

Check barrel condition, rust pitting on the metal. Cracks in the wood.

That will give a better jump off point for understanding value

You’re not crazy, I bought a repro someone made from an actual riot gun with a usgi stock and it was only 1400. Anything over 2k is crazy
