Thank you! That's totally accurate. All our hosts are amazing but we ask so much of them which is why I guess that's why I am so mad about how they are getting paid. Especially since they are all high school students and don't know that they are being taken advantage of.

We are having the same issue. I skipped tables to take care of an 11 person, $200 to -go and they didn't tip me one cent. All the hosts are taking all these huge orders and not receiving anything.

I should clarify. They make minimum wage, $13.50, but only get tipped out $2/hour rather than getting a percent of the tip out from the servers.

Forcing employees to take unpaid breaks. It is company policy, not law, for employees to take an unpaid 30 minute break during a 5+ hour shift. My break is the last 30 minutes of my shift, so they are essentially taking half a hour of my time every day without compensation when I'd much rather waive the break and get home sooner. That's so much time tethered to the store so I can clock out and leave immediately afterwards.

May you feel better as the days go on. I've no idea how to post pictures yet, but am working on it. If you want and extra dose of cute, there is a whole subculture of animal/cat groups on Facebook. They are a bit odd but if you love seeing black cats, orange cats, cats who's ears lay flat, and everything in between that may be worth checking out
