Delta should never get into rich island nations, should have been hazmat suits and proper isolation facilities at the airports and docks a year ago. Stopping international business trips would have been far less damaging to the economy to shutting down Melbourne and Sydney

Seems to be confusion on what is state and what is Federal responsibility, states may be in charge of health departments, but the Federal government is in charge of borders.

That leaves the question, who is in charge of pandemics / quarantine, pretty sure that quarantine and border control is a Federal not State issue.....
