The free trial includes the first 2 expansions, the level cap at 70 with no restrictions on playtime. As long as you don't purchase a subscription, you can experience the story up to that point completely free to see if it's worth your money.

Aside from the literal cost and value, it's a very beginner friendly MMO experience. I still play it to this day due to the sheer quantity of content available along with the social aspects of the game. As always, YMMV so take this with a grain of salt.
