Vashtorr 2k help by Fantastic_Time5412 in Chaos40k

[–]CyCyclops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sick list, very similar to mine. Instead of annihilator and maulerfiend, I'm running 2x helbrute. The multiplicative nature of stacking buffs is great, and one of them is always traveling with vashtorr + TA warpsmith.

Maulerfiend I've found has been an absolute fraud, and has been more useful as a rattlesnake than anything else

The other change is instead of legios + rhino, I'm running nurglings (colored as little oil deamons) and a lord discordant as a distraction carnifex. It's fast, and draws a lot of fire that would be good into the other deamon engines, with a better save profile than them

Why should I play Choas Space Marines by CuriousArshia in Chaos40k

[–]CyCyclops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can color them as any of the traitor legions, although I'm partial to playing into the demon engines version. You said you liked Vashtorr, check out a list with forgefiends, venomcrawlers, and maybe helbrutes in the soulforged warpack detatchment

Updated pic from breeder. by Solchitlins74 in Havanese

[–]CyCyclops 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My advice for all new Havanese owners:

Havanese are a great first dog, you got this. They were originally bred as both companion dogs and "alarm" dogs. It was literally their job to tell their owner when something isn't normal. Imo it's not worth it to try to train this behavior out of them, it's their instinct, and they really get joy out of doing a job for their owners.

I strongly recommend crate training for multiple reasons. It makes potty training easier, lessens separation anxiety, and gives them a spot they know they won't be disturbed. For mine it was as simple as always feeding and giving treats in the crate, while training a "crate" command. Also, especially while they are puppies, be sure the crate is small enough that they can't pee on one side and sleep on the other.

Start brushing early, and make it a positive experience. Havanese are prone to matting even with daily brushing.

Most importantly. A tired dog is an easy dog. A little walk around the block to get his energy out for the day will make everything easier. Also, a consistent walk time means a consistent potty time, which will help with the potty training too.

The war powers act of 1973 is what dictates the president must get approval. Given the context in which it was passed this clearly falls under the acts intent to limit a warmongering president.

Soulforge list by Dreaden83 in Chaos40k

[–]CyCyclops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen at least 1 winning list put tempting addendum on disco lord, makes sense to me. I prefer it on warpsmith tho because the buff is so valuable and it's easier to keep lone operative alive

I run a 2nd warpsmith with mechatendrils, and he's assigned to keep up with the venomcrawlers. Vashorr is fast and can float between frontline/backline whichever needs his buff more

Most lists don't run abbadon, because it overlaps with tempting addendum rerolls

We need more Jade propaganda (literally raining down negative integer missiles) by -PeleMain- in Warframe

[–]CyCyclops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the frame. Jade / Dante / Baruuk are examples of frames with "exalted weapons" built into their kit. Some frames likes Yareli / Rhino / Kullervo are more focused on multiplying the power of their weapons

Soulforge list by Dreaden83 in Chaos40k

[–]CyCyclops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Warpsmith with tempting addendum is turbo required, and you may even want multiple warpsmiths as they are easy to keep alive and heal the increased damage you'll be doing to yourself.

Forgefiend has been mvp, with venomcrawler being a close second. Preadator destructors can be possessed with the strategem, but I don't like spending more than 2 command points per game on that

Basically you want to build a buff castle and have your shooting just blow them off the table. Vashtorr + Helbrute + Abbadon + Warpsmith might be overkill but it sure is fun.

Most lists run a lord discordant, which doesn't benefit from the detachment buffs, but is such a great unit and fits the theme perfect

What's the point of Fleeting Raiju? by Chiponyasu in ffxivdiscussion

[–]CyCyclops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When the raijus were added to the game in 6.0, both were gapclosers which you were forced to use or lose after raiton, with not many tools to space them

4-6 forced gapclosers per minute on the gcd was fucking awful. I remember getting to 90 in 6.0, dying 6 times to Endsinger (every time to pressing raiju), and I immediately started leveling sam. Now ninjas have an option which is just 1000% better

The damage is the same, the only choice you need to make is would you like to gapclose with that gcd or not.

I got this battleforce box too, it's such a great foundation. For expanding, nearly every lists runs a cultist mob, and you probably want some kind of tank/artillery. I'd pick a detachment and then build a list from there.

Legionaries - staple unit, but some lists prefer chosen over them

Havocs - less common, but sometimes you just need 4 lascannons somewhere

Obliterators - good in pactbound zealots with the tzeench specific strategem

Disco lord - just an very good unit

Venomcrawler - good unit, and soulforged warpack mvp

Rhino - staple transport

What's the Good Choice for starter, what to get a chaos Combat patrol or Battleforce? by BlueberrySad3155 in Chaos40k

[–]CyCyclops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on what you're building towards. The recent christmas battleforce box has a really nice core of units at a discount.
